Franken-rifles

Mr. Vickers,

Some people in the firearms world look down on “Franken rifles”, what is your opinion on them? Do you own any? Also do you think mixing a lower and upper from different companies has an affect performance?

As long as they are built correctly and assembled by someone who knows how to troubleshoot issues you should be fine- over recent years the build knowledge of the AR style rifle, thanx to forums like M4C, has risen dramatically to where the Frankenrifle is not nearly as problematic as it has been
