Hi Mr Vickers,

I had the pleasure and privilege of attending one of your AK operators course. I forgot to ask what you thought of the VZ 58 design.

Soft recoil due to the P38 style locking system - handy easy to manipulate package

Aftermarket rails and other accessories are catching up - overall a very cool weapon; not sure I would pick it over a AK but I could definately live with one if need be

Would you say the availability of parts and magazines is a major factor in whether you would take an AK over a VZ?

I ask in part because I live in a country where the opposite is true...VZ parts and mags are easy to find here and my experience with VZs has been pretty positive. I put one through a Hackathorn course and it performed well.

Yes - up in the the great white north I would definately rock a VZ 58 instead of an AK based on the 'evil' status of the latter
