With your "rice paddy squat" kneeling position are you applying equal pressure with your elbows against your knees. I've shot like that for a long time and find my elbows work best in the inside of my knees, however my feet are squared and barley shoulder width apart.
With your "freak show" sitting prone, is your elbows supporting your upper? Tried that the other day and I couldn't breath.
