View Full Version : Will the shipping issues ever abate
Well, a long time PSA customer.. Yet again stuck in order/shipping hell. I ordered ammo because I need it, I could have ordered elsewhere but went with my old friends at PSA. That was on the 12th.. the order is still "processing" and they ain't answering phones again. This has been happening for six months and that's plenty of time to have fixed the logistical issues. I've reached my limit and have takes my business elsewhere.. Just saying.. Ron

Ive ordered ammo and small parts from PSA without any issues. My last order (Troy Alpha Rail) was Monday and I just got the tracking # email. My order status still shows processing. I think they are swamped with the free shipping and 20% off deals.

Don't get me wrong.. I'm a big fan, it's just getting old. It all started going bad after the holidays. My Christmas orders shipped OK, but after that it sort-a went to hell. I wish them the best.. They just really need to get their act together regarding conformation and "answering the phone". Ron

I've ordered plenty of ammo and parts from 'em and never had any problems with their timeline filling and shipping orders.
I think some folks have some somewhat unreasonable expectations about how fast things ordered by mail should arrive at their doorstep.

I think you're mistaken in your assertion.. What do you consider "reasonable" for "time to ship" or "answering the phone"? I'm not a "order a box a year person".. Don't assume such.. Ron
It's only been three days since you placed the order. It really isn't that much time in terms of online orders.
From the website..
Shipping Times - All orders for ammunition and accessories typically take 1-3 business days to ship. Orders for uppers are built specially for each customer please allow up to 15 business days for upper orders to ship. Firearms orders typically ship 1-2 business days after we have received a copy of the correct FFL.
Say what you will.. It's shabby CS.. I suppose if I don't hear anything by Monday, it will be due to the weekend.. At what point should we point out a misrepresentation?? 8)..
I'm not out of ammo and I frequently order things that take months to make/ship.. But they don't claim otherwise either.. My last hangup with PSA took three weeks and a dozen phone calls. I've given them the benefit of doubt several times, I'm over them.. Ron
I could be wrong but I thought they posted something up on their site saying please give them up to 5 days before a order is shipped due to the volume of orders coming in because of the sales.
Edit: Its posted on there home page.
** Notice: Due to the popularity of the Free Shipping Event we are experiencing shipment delays **
** Please allow up to 5 business days for your order to ship **
As far as answering phones thats a different issue.
I have been ordering from PSA for the past three years. Latest order was last month...no issues whatsoever. Maybe I was just fortunate, but have never encountered any problems with them.

After having 3 orders in a row missing parts that were checked off on the packing slip I am done ordering from PSA. They took care of the missing parts in all 3 cases but that continued lack of attention is to much for me to deal with where there are so many good venders.
I'm a SC resident and like to support in-state businesses. My orders have been received in an "acceptable" time frame, but their processing is weak. Two orders ago was the worst about not knowing what was going on, but the last one was the strangest. The ammo order arrived at my door within 3 days, but the "Your order has shipped" email came on the same day.
I understand that growing pains can cause a lot of issues, but at some point they really need to get a grip and find someone to resolve these issues.
Of the online retailers I use, PSA is the weakest with regard to the order processing. They need to place some orders from online competitors (Rainier Arms, SKD, etc) and witness the differences for themselves.
I ordered ammo from them last month and it took four days to ship. They had the disclaimer on their website that said it may take up to five days to process. They have been up front about their shipping delays, and given their current deals I don't think five days is that long of a wait.

What's really a shame is that PSA has significantly wounded their reputation with these issues, deserved or not.
Overall, I think they provide nice product at a great price (both ammo and their rifles) -- I like the company. They initially had lots of good rep with their ammo business, and then gained some initial good rep with their rifle offerings and the intro prices on those rifles.
Unfortunately, it's like death-by-papercuts with them. True or not, there is definitely an undercurrent of order and customer service cock-ups running around here and TOS. It's a shame...I am hoping that their rep will improve and that their rifles will have enough folks use 'em and have enough reliability that they'll get to join the 'golden circle' of AR companies.

I have a problem with retailers who run big sales to drive business, then blame the sales for shipment delays. "Oh no! Our huge discounts caused sales to increase!". What did they think would happen?
PSA has bee emailing me DAILY for the past two weeks, each time featuring a new sale. If they're backed up on shipments, they need to add capacity or cut it out with the sales until they can handle the volume.
I like PSA, but as a marketer, I know one of the quickest ways to lose a customer is via shipping delays coupled with poor communication.

My first order with PSA shall be my last.
Ordering off the website, early april, no problem. PSA charged my credit card immediately and website ordering stated that all items in stock and will ship 1-3 business days, yay, sounds good.
Two weeks later, no delivery of goods or any communication of any kind or email. Sent emails requesting update of shipping, no replies. Called, no answer but did leave message stating my concerns about charging my card without shipping product.
Finally got my package 3 days later, never did get any notice via email or phone. My thoughts are that the phone message woke somebody up about a "lost in the paperwork" order and that they filled and shipped it that day.
I think to myself "finally, good times of opening a package". Too bad my thoughts of joy turned quite somber. Part of this shipment was a 420 round xm855 sealed can and a PSA lower parts kit , a Geissele SSA trigger package, and a mil spec rear receiver tube assembly. There were other items, but these are the main players for this story.
PSA's shipping/packing dept. needs to hire personnel with some sort of clue of how to pack a box with either proper protection for mixed weight items or ship the heavy stuff separately.
When I looked the package over from UPS, the bottom of it had a bulge that had just about broken through the cardboard. Upon opening the box I find the Geissele trigger and the the LPK were underneath the 12-14lb. sealed 420round xm855 and the bulge were these two items being pounded into the bottom of the box during shipment. The rear receiver tube was on one side of the ammo can wrapped in one layer of bubble wrap.
The box had about 5-6" of dead space for the length of the box above the ammo can and had one 2 foot section of packaging brown paper to "secure" all the items from moving. Christ, they could have used six squares of one ply toilet paper for all the protection/securing that section of packaging paper provided.
So to boil it all down, they packed a 12-14 lb hammer (ammo can) loosely in box filled with lots of expensive small stuff to smash the entire shipping trip.
I immediately called PSA, but got no answer, so I just blew it off for a day and left it all sitting on the workbench. Came to the conclusion if it works, let it go. So yes, I did try to resolve with the company before posting this, but you just cant get a hold of them.
I went ahead and assembled the Geisselle, rear receiver and LPK into a lower as I had a range date on a upcoming weekend. Amazingly, everything looked ok on installation and functioned perfectly for the 160 rounds I shot through it, so I guess it worked out, but I'm done with that company.
Everything I've ordered from BCM, Larue, and even Cheaper than dirt has been packaged properly, in the case of Larue to a point of overkill, but it arrives safely intact.
Your experience may be different.

I have placed my first and last order with PSA last saturday, I bought 2 sale items, have called every single day Monday-Friday last week and then today, multiple times, have gotten 0 answers, 0 replies to emails, called one of their stores to speak with the manager and see if he had any insight on the internet woes which of course he did not, I am STILL waiting for a shipping confirmation email, the money was taken out of my bank account promptly when I placed the order and I am getting ready to call my bank and tell them to initiate a complaint.

We are aware of the shipping issues and have ongoing improvements that have made our process more efficient. There are a lot of reasons for the current delay, but most of those should hopefully go away once all of our sales end. The other problems are a work in process. No excuses, but I do understand your frustrations with slower shipping or inaccurate orders.
If you currently have an outstanding order please PM me with your invoice number. I will forward them to our CS as I receive them.
Thanks,

always have to give a +1 to any company will to face the client, wrong or right, and do what they can to fix it.
not everyone ends up happy, but it says a lot about stepping up to the plate.
Well if everyone who places an order also sends a dozen emails and leaves a dozen phone messages then it will Really Slow everything down. They're busy. If you need instant gratification go to a store and buy your gear. Stop whining.

I've bought from PSA many times in the past and they have never been very speedy and communication was lacking. Consequently, they are low on my list. If I can get it elsewhere, I usually will, unless a compelling reason exists to go to PSA.
Why do people love to deal with Midway and Brownell's? Fast order fulfillment. I run a business and any order that gets in before 3 PM goes out the same day (our UPS pickup is at about 3:30). If it doesn't get out then, it's the next day for sure. If there's ANY problem, the customer is called immediately. If a customer has a question, it is answered IMMEDIATELY. If a customer has a problem with a shipment, it is dealt with IMMEDIATELY. And so on. As a result, our customers love us and are very loyal.
Different businesses have different ideas of what makes the cut. Great customer service, fast order fulfillment and easy return policies always win.

Bingo!
If it's going to be 20 days then just say it, I can live with it if I'm not in a rush for the item(s). The thing that gets people all wadded up is saying 5-7 days or whatever and then leaving you swinging in the breeze for 3 weeks.
I've forwarded everyone's PMs to CS.
Thanks for making the effort to make sure we're all satisfied
If there's one thing that I've learned in my business, it's that people don't like surprises.
Most people expect an immediate email confirmation of the order receipt and they unless an item has to be built, they expect confirmation that the order has shipped within 24 hrs. (business hours)
Communication is massively important. Communication allows you to manage expectations - no surprises. The expectations of most are generally pretty high, and when you can't manage those expectations, you will disappoint.
A recent order from national Target Company:
- Invoice emailed immediately so that I know the contents of the order are correct. This was in in my inbox before I could log in to check. Friday, June 15th at 9 pm.
- FedEx shipment notification email received on Monday, June 18 at 4:18 pm
- my order actually shipped that afternoon (not just label preparation)
I think this is simply what is expected by most. We're spoiled.

Thank you very much! I must say I waited a week for two items that were not in my original order and I was getting worried. I called everyday last week and sent two separate emails. I was considering doing a charge back on my credit card when I saw this thread. I'm not overly impressed that I had to use a forum in order to get my problem addressed but will say Palmetto made it right within 24hrs of my PM and shipped within 24 hrs.
We are all human folks and shit happens. A company that can recognize, apologize and fix a mix up will continue to get my business.
Thanks again Palmetto and I'll continue to order from you!

Again, just wanted to say PSA is fine by me. I ordered an item last Monday, and had to order a seperate item Tuesday that I forgot I needed. I received both the following Monday.
I've ordered a lot of ammo from PSA. They're not the fastest at shipping or delivery but my stuff always gets here eventually. I'll keep buying from them as long as their prices are good or until I get orders that actually go missing.

It is whining. He did not even wait 3 days before complaining about it here. He said he ordered on the 12th and posted on the 15th. If he complained on the 6th day I would understand.
I love ordering and getting super fast shipping with tracking like Bravo Company, but I don't need or even want it for everything. We all need to plan ahead too. If you have something break that's one thing. Spare parts are always a good idea too. But if I were taking a class or doing training I would have my ammo and gear squared away ahead of time. Murphy is a bitch and always shows up at the worst time.

My recent (and most likely) last order was a complete clusterf*&%.
I placed an order on 7/21 for items that were in stock according to the website. No communication about delays, but there was no delay in charging my card for the entire purchase. I finally received half of the order on Monday, 7/30 with no notification that it had shipped. When I opened the box I was missing five Glock 17 magazines; the item was simply marked through on the packing slip. The website clearly states they don't back order items and if something is out of stock they will notify the buyer immediately.
Today the friggin' brown Santa pulls up to my door with five Glock magazines. I looked at my email and I had a UPS shipping notification that they were shipped yesterday (they are based in SC, I live in NC). I've emailed them yet again requesting a pre-paid return label and a refund as I ordered five Glock magazines from Top Gun Supply Tuesday and they arrived yesterday. Granted, I have the magazines that I no longer need but this service has been piss poor. I plan to return them for a refund like I requested Tuesday but they can pay the freight.
My advice, look elsewhere for your needs...

I would like to chime in with that my last several orders in the past two months (Love those Daily Specials) with PSA have been perfect with only one order which was sent as a partial shipment and the remaining gear shipped within 72 hours which is really not a issue at all.
I'll continue buying and keep those daily specials coming.
My last two ammo orders have went well.. Not stellar, but good enough.. I do wish PSA the best.. Just to be clear about that.. Ron

I think the best shipping times from them I've had was a lower and an upper. I purchased the lower during the $50 special and it shipped out in the timeline I was initially given. The LPK and stock kit I ordered the same day were shipped within 72 hours.
I was told 14+ days for my upper and it shipped in fifteen days.
I ordered some MFS ammo during a promotion this spring and it took two weeks to ship.
The deal of the day on 8/31 was their LPK for $35 so I picked one up as I'm thinking about another build and if not it's a good deal for a spare parts kit...
I just got my shipping notice today. 12 days later.
I like the prices. I've only had one failure to eject in 1k rounds with all kinds of random ammo so the product seems decent. But holy fudgenutters I think they let a bunch of window lickers run the shipping department.
Tapatalk ate my spelling and grammar.

Placed order on Oct 16th today is Nov 7 and my order still has not shipped. They charger your card as soon as you order, which they state they will and I'm fine with that, but they also state that orders will be shipped within 15 business days. Well its been longer than that and my order still hasn't shipped. This will be my last order with PSA! Oh, and forget about trying to call it rings until they hang up on you great customer service. I'm seriously concedering cancelling the order but eating the 10% is something that I don't want to do. Or since they can't honor their ship within 15 business days then maybe I shouldn't have to honor the 10%. Come on PSA get your poo together. By the way my order number is 100102300 and don't give my the its shipping soon bs.
Fyi, I ordered upper barrel assembly/ CH/ LPK/ stripped lower on 10/28 n recd 2 packages 11/6 & 11/7.
I ordered a mid-length Dissipator upper on Oct 24 and still nothing. My buddy ordered a carbine upper on Oct 26th and it was delivered to his house on Nov 5th. WTF? Looks like I will only be going with BCM uppers after this. Also, I noticed that the Dissipator uppers said the 15 day thing, but now PSA switched those uppers to 20 days now. Those were not the terms when I placed my order. I am tempted to call my credit card company on Friday if my upper hasn't shipped. I am not paying the 10% fee, you can bet on that...

Hah, get in line, bro. I ordered a pair of uppers on Oct 8th and they're still "manufacturing but will ship soon".
They're announcing a new sale every day to keep the money coming in, but as best as I can tell, haven't spent a cent of it on increasing capacity or hiring more people to pack boxes or even answer the damn phone. For anything other than a ridiculously simple order, you're gonna wait a month or more.
At this point I have zero confidence in these clowns and will probably cancel if I can't get my order shipped this week. (100097885)
Good luck!
I don't think I will be placing anymore orders with PSA. Since they take forever, and have horrible customer service, I will gladly pay more for stuff from places that are happy to please their customers.
EDIT: HOLY SHIT! My upper shipped today. I am amazed! Hopefully everybody else who has been waiting gets theirs soon....
I'm starting to get really frustrated. Every email I send them I get the same generic stupid reply. Going on day 18 and nothing.
Will NOT be doing business with them again.

Nope. 19 business days!
Ill be honest I had to keep on them a lot and kept getting the same lame response from their lack of customer service department.its really sad that they have poor customer service and shipping because the product is awesome and I hate to see a company lose business when their product is great.even tho I am extremely happy with my psa upper I'm not so sure I will do business with them again either due to the headache the shipping problems and customer service dept causes....ok I probably will

From what I hear and have experienced with psa most things arrive in a decent amount of time from them.its the uppers, full rifles and ammo that seems to be where the pain in the ass is
Still no update?
Wow man idk what to say now...he'll I'm pissed off for you at this point.

Blazer,
Sorry for the delay in getting back with you. Your upper should be shipping out today. If you do not have tracking information by tomorrow morning let me know and I will PM it to you.
Thanks,
This thread hasn't given me confidence in PSA.

Can I get any update on my order please? I would call but last time it took 3 days until somebody finally answered the phone. Order #100104668 placed on October 20th for an upper and a bunch of other AR parts. It's been over 5 weeks now since I placed the order and my card was charged. If it doesn't ship out this week I guess I'll just have to cancel my order.
Gave PSA another chance. Ordered a carry handle and 2 Third Gen Pmags on Black Friday. Got them earlier today (Thursday, I work 2nd shift and am still awake, lol). Less than a week from order placement to my hands! Good job PSA! I wonder if people will start getting their uppers sooner??

Not likely, regular parts and things come fairly quickly from them uppers on the other hand dont
I ordered an upper from them during the black Friday sale. I hope I get it by Christmas.

Ordered some ammo from them Saturday and it shipped Thursday. I ordered an upper a few days ago, we'll see how long that takes. I'm with you skittles, as long as I receive it by Christmas, I'll be fine. I've got plenty of other guns and projects to keep me busy in the meantime.
I forgot to add that I also hope that my order is correct. If I get my upper after Christmas (not long after though) and it is correct, I will be happy. I've read a few things about people receiving the wrong items.

Guys, thanks for posting your issues with the CS and shipping. Sorry for your problems, but saves some of the rest of us from similar grief.
I am another that really likes PSA products, love PSA special sale prices and the occasional "free shipping" offer. I am also another that has experienced what to me seems unusually long delays/lag times in shipping and issues making contact via phone.(I have had much better results using email as Brent has always gotten back to me in 48 hrs or less) However being I am flush with ammo and ARs my orders are for accessories or parts for things I want or want to build, not items I have to have ASAP. I will continue to patronize their business and promote them to others, it will just be with the caveat of PSA = Patience Saves Anxiety. Now having said all of the above, of course I would really like them to work more at faster shipping and better CS via the phone.

We appreciate the support, and we have things set in motion that should increase shipment speed/accuracy, and make it easier to get in contact with us.
I'm in that category as well.. I prefer to buy my ammo from PSA.. Ron

Order #100137099 placed last Sunday 12/2 for ammo that was showing as in-stock. Still sitting in 'processing' status as of a few minutes ago. No confirmation email after placing the order.
Will be canceling if not shipped tomorrow.

Have you not read the multiple post in regards to PSA shipping? As well as their highlighted text regarding orders on their website? They are a small business who very likely ships orders in bulk all on a certain day as to keep their cost low. I understand that you can do as you want and can expect a particular type of service from whatever company you choose to do business with. But personally I would give them at least a week. I just think as a "small business" they are a bit overwhelmed with the amount of business they are doing and just working through growing pains. As to not notifying you/I when they actually ship, I can totally relate to your frustration. As I stated before I am a "want" type customer, not a "need it now!" type customer and can be a bit more patient than some. In any case good luck and I hope your order or shipping notification arrives tomorrow.

UPS picks up M-F here. It's usually 8-10 pallets a day he loads onto his truck. We are very busy, but doing all that we can to get orders out quickly.
Customers should receive UPS tracking information when the label is made for the package.

Can't get through to PSA to cancel my order. It's now been a week and nothing... Still showing 'processing'. This was for ammo they were showing in stock.
This is pure speculation and I apologize in advance if it seems out of line but I've often wondered if PSA gets away with offering such great deals because it's essentially a Ponzi scheme... any company that takes your money weeks (if not months) in advance before shipping your order sets off a red flag for me. Reminds me of that JackRoss Ammo scam.

I don't get the sense it is a scheme. It just seems their priority is sales rather than customer service. Which in the long term I think will bite them IMO.
While the service has been inconsistent at least all of the items have been good quality and fairly priced.
At this point I have no issue ordering from PSA but I would do it knowing it might be a long wait for my items.
My frustration with PSA is on a few levels. I think anyone can understand some reasonable delays due to overwhelming demand during this time, but what I don't get is......
1. Poor communication. I ordered a rifle from them on 10/30/12 and it is still not ready. I haven't once received any communication from them about it being delayed even though they say it can take up to 15 days to ship. I would expect an email on business day 15 explaining the delay. I emailed without any response (8 days ago). The only updates I've gotten we're from ar15 forum and they were wrong (told on 11/20 it would be shipping soon). I finally had someone IM me back from that forum who told me it should be ready by the end of this week.
2. Related to this is their bad phone system: I've called dozens of times and been unable to get through. You just get hung up on. You could probably make a fun game out of who can get through first.
3. Being charged before its ready. Why not take some form of deposit instead of whole amount when ordered? Then the rest can be charged when shipped. There is no motivation for them to finish my rifle because they already have the money. Related to this is their 10% cancellation fee. I can understand this fee in normal circumstances, but this shouldn't apply if they can keep their end and ship when they agreed to.
3. New deals/promises when they can't fill old orders. They have new deals guaranteeing 3 day shipping when they have orders not shipped from a week ago. Wouldn't it be best to slow down on receiving new orders when they are so far behind?
I'm trying to be patient and I want PSA to succeed, but I think they need to make some serious changes.
My only transaction with them was right after the election, and they shipped within a week- faster than the several other companies I ordered ammo from for my shooting trip.
Because of their price of MK318 I figured they would be my go to place for it, now reading this thread, along with another on here, I will be hesitant, as when I get money for a new trip to the mountains, I do not want to wait weeks and postpone the date on my friend because my ammo has not came yet. But hey, my last purchase with them was good!
I'm pretty disappointed in today's order delivery.
I got my LPK, charging handle, SMK bullets, and pistol buffer tube, but my upper is nowhere to be found.
I know they had a supplier issue with the gas tubes for the middy uppers, but they're currently guaranteeing shipping within 3 days of current middy upper sale items, and my cyber monday upper isn't done? Please...
Here I thought they'd gotten on the ball and I'd have my upper 3 days before the 3 week mark. Ha!
It's hard to go to bat for a company when they pull this stuff.

Got the shipping notification today for the upper I ordered. Not too bad, considering everything that is going on post-election. It took 3.5 weeks from time of order to shipment; I'm good with that.
I got shipping notification today for my Black Friday upper that I ordered Nov. 24th
Got the quantum view notice this afternoon. Cyber monday upper is finally headed out. :)
I know the wait sucks:agree:, but if your product performs as well as my pencil premium 16 inch mid length CMV CL stripped upper (with MOE a hand guard a DD BCG and BCM MOD-4 medium charging handle I added)matched with a PSA lower I purchased last year along with a PSA ACS-L lower build kit does, you will be very happy:D. <---I hope this makes sense:p Right at 800 rds, with a mix of LC NATO 5.56 and commercial Rem .223 and the only difference is the POI & location of the pile of spent brass. Here is to hoping it was worth it and that PSA can catch up.
I'm not complaining at all. I was pleasantly surprised when I got the email notice that it'd been shipped. I had been disappointed that it took so long to get my other parts, but I figured the upper would be a "sit back and wait for it" proposition.
I shot a FN M16A2 in the service, and look forward to getting another of their barrels. Even better - I get to use it on the better half of it's serviceable life. :D
I put in two more orders since this one. I'm cool with PSA's stuff, it'd just be nice to see it in a week when they only have to stuff it in a box and slap the label on. I understand they're suffocating under a mountain of pick tickets, and give them the breathing room to deal with it. I haven't tried calling them a single time. I just keep tabs on their website and plan my day's accordingly.
As an aside to all of this - Brownells was always just about next day for me up until my last two orders. Seriously, I could place an order by about 2 pm and expect to see it the next morning with standard postage, the day after that was a worst case scenario.
My last two orders took over three days to get out their door, and both were placed prior to Sunday of this week.

I would like to say that PSA got my upper out on time. 15 days just like they advertised. Could not be happier with the service. Thanks PSA
My Black Friday Upper showed up tonight. Looks good. Took a month....Ordered Nov. 24th, arrived Dec. 24th. Just what I was hoping for.
On 12/24/12 I ordered a Geissele trigger from PSA and two minutes later ordered a Accu-Shot mono pod from Arms Unlimited, both vendors web page said the items were "in stock." The mono pod got here 12/28/12, the PSA order still says processing.
Now PSA's says allow 15 business days for orders to be shipped! Fine time to tell me a week after I placed the order and they charged my credit card and want 10% to cancel the order.
I can understand delays for uppers, especially if they have to be built, that is something you don't want to rush, but a trigger that is already in a bag from the manufacture? If the item is, in fact, in stock and is the size of a trigger assembly you put it in a shipping bag and ship it.
Wish I had read this thread before ordering from PSA. When a vendor charges your credit card three weeks before shipping the product it looks way too much like they don't have the product, they get your order, they get your money and then they get the product from the manufacture and then ship it (and they have you because they are going to charge 10% if you cancel the order). The get the product after they get orders is the only explanation I can come up with as to why a business would remain three weeks behind on shipping for an extended period of time. I won't be doing business with PSA in the future.
To be clear, I understand a partial non-refundable charge if the item has to be built, like Fulton-Armory does. I don't understand PSA's business model and why people continue to do business with them.
Lennie
ps I know that these are trying times for all the vendors, and currently most vendors are experiencing delays, but it looks too much like this is standard operating procedure for PSA.
So you ordered something Christmas Eve, and here you are 3 business days later crying about it not shipping yet? Seriously?
Brownells is taking a week. Troy has had over a week and still no ship date yet. Red X says no less than 3 weeks. DSG is over 2 weeks. All of them have charged my card and I'm waiting...
PSA is running about 2 weeks behind on non-uppers (from my personal experience), and they've had the 3 week notice on their site for at least 2 months! One order will arrive Thursday, and I have another that hasn't been shipped yet. I buy from them because they offer great value for the price. With that comes some slow ass shipping.
I agree that cancelling something that hasn't been touched yet and still charging 10% is a bad practice. But failing to read the big fat notice that orders take 15 business days is lazy on your part. They wouldn't warn you if they didn't think you would want to know that up front.
This thread started back in June, so this has been going on since before Black Friday. My only complaint is that, regardless of how or when I found out that it was going to be three weeks before they shipped, I have to pay them for, as you said, "something that hasn't been touched yet." Who else does that?
I am implying that, IMHO, there is more to this than, "so many orders we can't keep up." Of course I could be wrong, maybe they are just that inefficient.
Lennie
ps in early November BCM was shipping in stock uppers in four days, how the hell did they do that?
Still better than CDNN who took over three weeks to admit that they didn't have what I ordered and were canceling it:mad:
I stand corrected... Brownells is same day shipping again. :D
BCM sells MOE LPK's for $60? Yeah, didn't think so. You want fast, pay more and buy somewhere else.
The old racing adage stands:
Cheap
Fast
Reliable
Choose two. ;)

At this point, don't get in any hurry with anything you order. Ok, some companies may be able to ship things out within a few days but small companies may not have the people to be really efficient, whether during sellout times like we are currently in or even during normal times. Either way, if you need something quick, make sure you order from someone that states next day shipping or the like. Or plan better and don't sweat the extra waiting time. I have ordered from PSA five different times over the past month and things have been trickling in, usually shipping 2-3 weeks after I order. I know this ahead of time and I'm not worried about waiting. If I need something sooner, I look elsewhere or buy local.

Well I guess I might be behind you on my order. It was just for mags for my Sig 522 so they might get shipped. I ordered on the 21st as well but you never know.
My 12/18 order shipped out today too.
That's all of them I had in the pipeline. Still a happy customer. :)
My Jan 18 order has not been shipped as of yet. So much for the 15 day shipping policy.
Good luck getting any updates on stuff now. Their website is gone. Hope those of us with open orders don't get shafted. Went to their site to see if any staus update had happened to my order and nada. This type of stuff has been happening lately by so called businesses in this industry. I fear that I may never see my mags or my money now.

Sure thing, it's back up. I have no access to FB while at work, restricted access through our work PC's. Thanks for the update!
Well their site is back up... I'm waiting on three orders from them, one goes back to December, one early January, and one just recently. I JUST got a shipping notification 2 days ago for my December order mere minutes after placing my last order - coincidence???
Anyway, they really need to hire more people for their shipping dept. if it's this bad. There's no reason for it. I ordered a BCM upper from Bravo Company and had it here within a week. Every order I place with SKDtac takes two days to get here. Brownells, Midway, Sportsmans Guide? 10 days tops... They should shut down shop and stop accepting new orders until they fulfill their back orders. But they won't... the reason? Greed... Probably why they won't hire any more employees. It could prove to be their undoing. I know that unless they have the deal of the century, I won't be ordering anything else from them. The owner of PSA needs to attend some kind of business course. You don't piss off your customer base.
I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt and ordered 2 of the D&H mags last month. I have a metric ton of PMAGS but not a single aluminum mag so I figured I'd give it shot. There are many businesses that need to take a page out of the book from quite a few of the vendors I have used. Sounds like to me PSA needs to make some adjustments like Shao said. However, that's like admitting fault and we all know how most people don't want to do that. Instead they will continue in their ways when it comes to shipping.

Ordered earlier this month and still nothing, but that's ok, these days it seems like everyone is very backlogged.
I ordered 800 rounds of .45 acp blazer brass on Jan. 11. Card charged on 12th-14th, don't remember.
I just got a notice from ups that it will be here Friday.
My Jan 18 order has not been shipped as of yet. So much for the 15 day shipping policy.
I just received tracking on my order. At least it was not too far behind schedule.
I have placed, and cancelled, two orders with PSA recently.
The wait time is not acceptable to me for "in stock" items.
I was able to place an order, wait a week for nothing at all to happen, place an order elsewhere, have it ship out, receive it, and then cancel the PSA order for "in stock" parts that was just sitting there doing nothing but tying up my money.
Now...how long will it take to refund my credit card?
I had placed and received several orders with them before, but I doubt I'll even visit their website again.
I bought a premium m4 upper two weeks ago and got it 9 days after I ordered it... Amidst the madness. 7th time I've not had a single issue.
I had in stock 77gr SMK's hit my doorstep three weeks on the nose.
Still a happy customer.
I ordered a couple D&H mags when they were in stock 2 days ago and I received shipping info already. Last time I ordered these mags it took a couple weeks.
I'm hoping they're turning a new leaf and this isn't a mistake.
ETA: According to the tracking info the packaged has been picked up with an ETD of 05 MAR. That's only a few days from placing order to shipping. Much shorter than the 2 weeks it took the last time I placed this same exact order only a few weeks ago.
PSA has always had slow shipping in the best of times. With the recent buying frenzy, I have stayed away from them. I hope you guys get your stuff soon, but you may have to wait a while. :shout:

Got my LBK in a timely matter with everything in it. Fit perfect into a spikes lower.
How long?
Credit where credit is due...
I ordered a Geissele SSA for my dad from PSA not long ago. It shipped in about three days.
I ordered a ten pack of the D&H mags with yellow followers on Easter Sunday. They are with UPS and scheduled to arrive tomorrow (Thursday)
I ordered a LPK (no FCG) on March 27th. I received a notice that it was shipping out on March 28th and it was delivered on the 29th.
Stripped upper and a barrel. Ordered on the 26th of March and they shipped today. A week is far better than the 15 day lead time they were up front about.
LPK with no FCG. Ordered on the 29th and it has not yet shipped, but given tendencies, I would bet it heads out in the next couple of days.
Order placed on the March 30th (to FFL) shipped in 7 business days and an ordered placed on April 3rd (to home) shipped in 5 business days.
Not the fastest shipping, but nothing to complain about IMO (unless they were advertising something different). Especially in the current environment.
