I'm looking for some eye protection. D/t the thickness and complicated prescription of my lenses, they tend to not work well when formed into prescription lenses or lens inserts for standard shooting glasses frames. (One pair of glasses for me can buy a low end AR!!!) Therefore, I'm looking for some "over glasses" - both sunglasses and clear. Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated.

My understanding is that any relatively recently made eye glasses will have sufficient protective capabilities - of course, I could be wrong my optometrist is a pilot. Have you considered just getting some clip on side shields?

Barring that, I'm imaging a protective over goggle from Lowe's, Home Depot, OSH, Tractor Supply, etc. Glass, impact resistant lens with vented side protection.

Fortunately, Oakley can build my prescription.

While 99+% of surgery patients are happy - those who aren't, REALLY aren't. Think I'll stick with glasses. Been wearing them for the past 50 years, guess I'll wear them for the next 50:)

I wear corrective lenses and occassionally need to shoot while wearing glasses as well. I actually purchased to differents types of military-issue ballistic goggles from SportsmansGuide, both of them a little under $40.00 a piece, that I've found to work well when I'm wearing my glasses.

A standard set, just like regular safety glasses with a handband

And the tacti-cool type, which co-exist a little better than the above, but is primarily intended for use with a helment (although it can be used without one)
