LANCER SYSTEMS SELECTED BY SIMUNITION® TO ENHANCE TRAINING SYSTEM SAFETY
Allentown, PA (April 2008) Lancer Systems is pleased to announce that General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems-Canada has selected Lancer System’s Translucent Magazines for use in their new non-lethal 5.56mm training weapon conversion bolts.
Future SecuriBlank™ and FX® weapons kits will include customized versions of the Lancer Systems L5™ Translucent Magazine. Two new translucent magazines have been designed exclusively for Simunition®, one specifically designed for the 5.56mm SecuriBlank™ round and the other designed for the 5.56mm FX® Marking Cartridges. Unique features of these magazines ensure lethal rounds cannot be loaded and fired.
The selection of the new translucent magazine design adds a new level of realism and safety for the user. The enhanced strength of the translucent polymer and hardened steel feed lips allows the users to train using realistic movements and op-tempo. Operators are now able to train as they fight without sacrificing safety or damaging these rugged, new magazines.
