What do you use to keep it near and dear to your person?

Holster, OWB, IWB, Hybrid rig, What are you a toting your gun to town wrapped in.
Kydex, Leather or something else?

I use DeSantis Mini Scabbard for the Shield 9mm, DeSantis Nemisis pocket holster for the Kahr P380.
I have a DeSantis #1 Speed Scabbard for my M&P 9mm Pro 4.25.

Shirttails worn out, getting cooler so a jacket/coat will be worn more now.
Do you also pack an extra magazine for your CCW?
Do you carry a flashlight and/or a knife of some sort?

Up here in Central New Yorkistan, it all depends on which season it is. When it's snowplow season, I usually carry one of my fullsize Glock's or my 1911 in a leather OWB holster.

Being that I'm 6 ft. and a very slim 250 lbs. I can also carry and still conceal pretty well even with a tee shirt my fullsize Glock's or 1911 in a leather OWB holster when it aint snowplow season.

But most of the time I switch to my G26 IWB or S&W M60 3" OWB when it's warmer.

On the job, normally carry a S&W M&P 9 in a Milt Sparks OWB or IWB backed up by a 640 in a High Noon Mr Softie carried AIWB.

Off the clock, a Glock 26 in a Crossbreed Supertuck and sometimes backed up by the aforementioned 640.

I normally wear my shirt untucked to cover the guns during warmer weather and a jackets during the winter. The Crossbreed is the first tuckable I've had and have good experiences tucking the shirt around it to cover the 26 thus far.

Wil use the 26 as BUG as soon as I find an AIWB I can stand to wear for that gun. Also use a Galco Ankle Glove once in a while for the 26, but it tends to cause back problems after a day or two.

Glock G19 in either a High noon "Alter Ego(horsehide version)" or Galco "King Tuc". My G26 also fits in these. Spare G19 or G17 mag in left front pocket or in a Blade Tech single kydex mag pouch on support side. Fenix PD20 in front left pocket. Setup hides perfectly under T-shirts, or underarmor type Polo shirts down here in hot sunny Florida.
Also use G26 in Galco ankle holster when tucking in shirts, with same front pocket spare mag. 6'1.5", now 218lbs and falling.

G19 in Raven IWB at 4:00, spare G17 mag in PSS holster's underrated and excellent canted mag pouch at 8:00, Surefire G2 in my back left pocket held vertical (bezel up) next to my wallet. Sometimes a G26 in Raven IWB if the situation demands more discretion. Usually a casual untucked button-up, polo, or loose T-shirt all year, but occasionally a sweatshirt or jacket when it gets cold (in AZ defined as under 70).

G19 in G-code Incog (IWB) with front clip removed, carried at 3oclock. Spare mag at 9 o'clock in a horizontal magholder.

On occasion I carry a G26 (5-10% of the time) in the same holster, or either gun in a Raven Vanguard2 IWB at 3 o'clock.

I carry the G19 spare mag in either case.

The Vanguard2 is a bit more comfortable, but the Incog keeps the gun in a more consistent cant.

Quite the contrary, my butt is MIA.

Even with a good gun belt a heavy Full/Mid size gun drags my pants SOUTH!

Then I would suggest trying a different belt. The crappiest gun belt I own does not allow the pistol to sag.

G19 appendix carry in an INCOG minus the mag caddy. Sometimes will use G19 in VG2 appendix carry. Same setup all year long, conceals under a T-shirt. I'm 6' 200lbs.

Gen 3 G19 w/ Apex extractor, Vickers slide release, Vickers mag release, 10-8 serrated tritium front and serrated plain black rear sights, steel guide rod assembly, White sound HRED extractor depressor. Polished up the stock trigger parts. Holds 2-3" groups from rest @ 25m. Runs like a fckn champ, ~12k rds through it over the past 3.5 years.

I carry a full size 1911 using a Mernickle PS6SYS during fall, winter, and spring. I've been using it for about 8 years - very good quality. It's not a shorts and short sleeve carry system, but is easily concealable using a sweatshirt or vest for cover. It rides high and close to the body. I just ordered another PS6SYS REF-1 for my SA Champion. Leather for the 1911s. RCS for the Glocks.

I normally carry a scandium J-frame in my pocket. If I am carrying a gun on a holster it is usually mid to full size. I figure if I have to wear special clothes to cover them, what the hell. Typically though I have a HK45c or M&P 40 or 45 if I am carrying an autoloader.

In warmer weather I cary a CZ P01 IWB Crossbreed ST 1 extra 16 round mag and a Kershaw assisted opening folder. I'm 6'6" tall and around 300lbs so hiding a mid sized pistol is not an issue. In jacket weather I carry a SIG 220 DAK Cary in a desantis cozy partner with 2 extra 8 rd mags. Belts are a instructor belt in the summer and a beltman 1 1/2" bulhide for jacket weather. On occasion I will carry my full sized 1911 also IWB. But with the addition of the SIG to my collection I find myself reaching for the 1911 less and less.

CZ75 SP-01 IWB in a hybrid set up from the Holster Store @ 4:00. Spare mag in a Blackhawk single mag carrier. I use a flush 17 rnd Mecgar mag and a CZ 18 rounder as a spare.

(It was a Colt Gov't but it's at a shop ATM w/ a Wilson Combat holster)

So currently, Glock 17 OWB in a Galco.

I prefer OWB because my ass is huge. I generally carry around 8 o clock, and since I prefer FS guns, there just isn't enough space in my ass area in my jeans (even if I go up 2 sizes). Like, it can fit, but it prints on my ass. So OWB with an untucked button up (generally what I wear to work) w/ Khakis.

Ive tried so many different holster combinations that I cant even count, including RCS. I always seem to go back to either a Kramer IWB, or a Versa Max 2. This is for a g17, g19 or g30. I like the quality of the Kramer, and I like that it doesnt have snaps on the belt loops. The Kramer conceals a g17 and g30 just fine for me.The Versa Max 2 is great for its stability and comfort. I just wish they were more accessible right now. I have a VM 2 for my g19, and really want one for my G17, but dont feel like waiting 6 months or whatever. These are on a Beltman belt.

There is something about the feel and sound of leather when you move. It feels more like an part of you instead of an added extension. Like a good saddle.

I had a Raven Concealment Phantom Modular Holster for my G4 G19. I like it for OWB. I don't like it as much as the Talon Plus for IWB. The size difference between the two handguns may play a role in this.

Gen 4 Glock 19. I only carry IWB since I won't open carry (unless camping or something similar, which is about the only reason I have for wanting an RCS Phantom). Initially I started with the Belt Claw holster from SKD and was pleased for about a year, but wanted an actual option for AIWB so I got a Vanguard 2. I've been very pleased with it as well, though I would like to try the INCOG and SHM Ray for a light compatible set-up. I've worn a Volund Atlas Belt for almost 2 years now (when I got my CCW), just about every day and like it quite a bit for EDC or when using a war belt. My cover garment is only ever a t-shirt (and jacket in the winter, obviously). I don't wear button downs unless its a formal event.

Daily carry for me is G19 or P2000, depending on what mood strikes me. Either one rides in an Alessi CQC leather OWB. Summer weather at work is usually an untucked Woolrich "casual" shirt (flat bottom), unless I have to go to court, then it's under a suit coat. BUG is a Kahr PM9, in a Galco Ankle Glove. Spare magazine for primary, along with Fenix light, and cuffs are on support side hip. Occassionally, ASP baton rides behind the primary on strong side hip, but not terribly often. Off work in warm weather, the primary rides in a FIST #1K IWB under untucked loose t-shirt, BUG in weak side front pocket (if carried). Working around the yard, I usually just slip the PM9 into a FIST #1K and a spare mag or two in the off-side pocket. Belt is a Daltech "Super Bio Belt" - heck for strong/stiff and impervious to my apparantly highly acidic sweat.

Winter carry is typically the same, but usually with a tucked in shirt and a fleece vest for cover.

Regards,

Kevin

It really depends on where I am going, what I am doing, and what I am wearing. If I am going somewhere quick in town or a neighboring town, then I carry a Glock 26 IWB with an extra G17 mag. The IWB holster is leather; I find it more conforming, but a little slower on the draw. I usually wear a polo or t-shirt over it. It is very easy to conceal.

If I am going on a road trip, or I know I will pass through a rougher area, or I just feel a sense of unease, I carry a Glock 20SF with a TLR-1S and 3 extra mags loaded with 180GR Buffalo Bore. It is concealed in a ravel concealment OWB with a Safariland mag pouch. I have to wear a pretty decent cover garmet, like a Hawaiian shirt or 5.11 vest. There is no possible way to carry more firepower on your person without a PDW.

I usually carry a Spyderco knife, but no flashlight. I don't like feeling burdened down by my gear.
