I have the same problem. Using the "U" plate on the X300 is slides forward and backward. With the "P" plate on the X300 the notch in the GG&G adapter is not big enough for the X300 to lock into. I use the U plate and live with the sliding. It hasn't caused any problems (yet).

Mine is very secure on my G19, no play at all.

Yea, but they aren't talking about setups like your Glock. They have the aftermarket rail that attaches to the HK proprietary rail.
billybronco, is the GG&G similar to the Surefire adapter for USPs? I have them (SF type) on my USP9 and USP45C and the light has no play at all. I recall the adapters being nearly identical and got the SF model because of their discount.
Before trial and error of the other adapters, have you called SF? They may be able to tell you how to address it or if something is out of spec.
Good luck and let us know what you find out.

The GG&G is nearly identical to the SF adapter, but apparently not in the critical dimension of the length of the groove. It's just a TINY bit too small, but I don't want to sand down the P adapter in case I want to use it on a different gun later. I may try filing the GG&G groove a little bit larger.

My X300 is loose on my Kimber Warrior. My X200B is tight as hell on the same gun. The X200B has been around longer with me than the X300.
I am holding out contacting Surefire as it's not a complete deal breaker, but it sure is annoying.

Does it move front to back or left to right? If you can twist the light left to right, take it off and adjust the rails. Loosen the little bolts and bring the rails closer together. I loosen them, install in on the rail, sqeeze and tighten.

Not sure if the X300 is similar to the X200, like bullitt5172 mentioned, there is some adjustment built into the X200 rail system- I didn't know that was the case. I arrived here with an X200 that was a bit wobbly on my M4 rail, had a coworker adjust it via the X200 adjustable attachment and it is really solid on there now, might be worth a look.

My X300/GG&G combo has front/back motion only. Side to side it fits perfectly.
