After Grant gives it a going away massage internally, New Trijicon Big Orange front sight and smaller green night sights rear.
I told him it was probably constipated just sitting around listening to all his BS so give it a good cleaning out and polish it up. Sights snapped in place and UPS Second day air. I'll get it one day this week and that is fine with me. I did sell off my M&P9 PRO 4.25. It was a tough decision. The PRO 5" or the PRO 4.25. Since a 4.25 is coming, the 4.25 went and I will have a PRO 5", LEO M&P9 FS and my Shield 9. Already thinking about a M&P9C........:dance3:

Excellent choice. Basically one of the best, and maybe the best combat autoloader currently available with the best sights currently available. Good work.

I carried Sig 226, DA/SA 9mm then DAK 357 Sig for 19 years of a 30 yr LEO career. The M&P is new to me this year, handling and shooting.

Congrats. Color me impatient by I would go nuts with "some time this week". The moment it came in I'd take the day off from work and hit the range. What else besides the sights did you have done?

Grant is giving it a massage. He Says they get stiff sitting around waiting for a buyer.;)

He is doing his polish magic internally.....I am retired so no need to take off work. The FFL is only a 2 rock throws away so after I get the call, hit them streets a runnin and go pick it up. It is chilly here to day, actually most of week. No precip is predicted thank goodness..

Good selection on weapon and sights. I switched to a Pro after my firearms instructor let me use his in a class (I carried a G19). Now I carry the 4.25" FS 9mm and a M&Pc 9mm as a BUG. Still have my Pro and also a .45c as well. Love my M&Ps. Post a pic or two when you get it in.

BTW - thank you for your Nephew's service.

I sold the middle PRO 4.25 when I ordered the LEO M&P9 FS from Grant.

I'll keep the PRO 5" for a while, maybe forever. The Shield 9, It rides great OWB under shirt.

Wife still may try and take it from me so another Shield or an M&P9c may be a future purchase.

May look at the M&P45 FS or Midsize. Never handled one much less shot one, so I feel the need to try em out.

The shield may get a polish job from Grant and new night sights also. See how the one I got coming looks and feels.

Thank You very much, We are proud of him. Next month he starts Pre-Ranger Course (PRC) at Benning than if he makes that straight into Ranger School. Chinook Helo school comes in May 2014 in Virginia. Passed up E-5 board to keep his spot in Helo school.

Good deal! I'm also waiting on delivery of a 9 FS ordered last week from them.

I'm working with Apex now to get things set up the way I want. Forward set sear kit and probably a set of Heinie straight 8 ledges for me.

In an email with Grant, he finished with mine late today. He will ship it out Thur, 26th so it should arrive the 27th for a pistol.
I hope to have it filthy from shooting it this weekend. May have to wait until Monday for the local indoor range. This weekend maybe full of New gun owners from Christmas.
I can lube and dry fire it, killing bad guys on TV and shooting Dastardly Door Knobs!

I'm still jazzed and ready..

I'm really happy for you. I've been anticipating trying one of these again since shooting Kensho's in a Hackathorn class in Oklahoma.

In fact I've been watching the threads closely ever since Grant posted about the improved barrel situation. My previous M&P was far
less than a tack driver. It didn't stay with me long.

Well, UPS tracker says my package is in Dallas and delivery by end of day Tue 31st.
I am hoping UPS runs by my FFL by early afternoon so I can get there to make a pick up of my package.
DON'T want to HAVE to wait till Thursday......:nono:

Well it made it today. First thing is the Trijicon HD Orange sights! Cudos to Grant on a great recommendation. The action is smooth and the trigger is a firm feel with a snap when it lets go. I did not have anything internally added, just internal polish by Grant. All metal work inside is polished mirror brite. May try to get out tomorrow or Thursday.

Glad you got yours in!

I'm checking back tomorrow for the shooting report. I've also decided after reading the Fire clean thread that this pistol will be a great test subject for starting out on Fire clean.

I am seriously thinking about sending my Shield 9mm to Grant for a massage and add night sights to it also.
