M-14 mags - do they work?

Will a regular M14 mag feed and function in an Armalite pattern AR10?

Bolt hold open aside - any issues with feed or function?

They need a notch cut out of them like the AR mags have.

Quite frankly I'd be first in line to buy a .308 AR lower that accepts stock M14 mags, be it manufactured by Armalite, DPMS, CMMG, POF, KAC, MGI, etc. Ergonomics be damned.

I read somewhere that an M14 mag will work in an armalite. It doesn't lock in without being modified though. The trick I read about mentioned using a tight sling to hold the mag in.
