I believe you can get different color lock plates that identify what type of ammo is loaded in the mag.
Magpul uses a standard military color code.
Black/ tactical colors = FMJ/JHP
Purple = the shooting range prefered ammo
Red = live fire FMJ
Orange = Frangible
Yellow = Range defined
Blue = non-lethal such as paint ball
Bright green = blanks
Sky blue = Dummy non firing rounds
White = for low light, night ops

One pack covers an 8" rail section (one carbine length rail) so you probably need 1.5 packs approx. or 2 since they are sold in packs.

wow, unreal. I just have never seen a company with such a lack of production for their products all the while being some of the most demanded. I guess supply and demand at its finest, but app. magpul only uses two kibbler elves to do their production, and they hire a cpl. of madison avn. marketing firms along with google's R&D department.

UBR's are not the priority for many different reasons. The main one is that the Govt is not going to ban plastic stocks any time soon. ;)
Magpul most likely breaks even to loses money on the UBR and they are are PITA to build. So cut them a little slack.
