View Full Version : Probs stripping ammo from Mag

Just got a Stag 6.8 and on occasion, it has had a problem stripping ammo from the mag during loading - both from a locked bolt and from a pull and release of the charging handle. The problem is not consistant, but happens enough to be a problem.

Does not seem to have a prob during firing.

I tried switching to a Bushmaster mag (probably both made by C-products) and experienced the same prob.

Any ideas?

Could most likely be a weak buffer spring. The other problem could be that the feed lips on the mags are too tight.

I would try and shoot the gun for awhile (so it is at least broken in) and see what happens.

Thanks.. how many rounds should I shoot before I consider it broken in?

Somewhere around 500.
