Bravo Company has the CMT Bolt Carrier Groups (MPI)- Semi, are there any other ones I should consider or buy this one?

Thanks,
Mark

But it does not say MPI, so, LMT or CMT, or?

Buy a BCM auto BCG from G&R when they come back in stock. Should be soon.

I recommend Colt, BCM, LMT, FN contracted, Alexander Arms or the newer S&W BCGs (if they're available).

If you can't find any of those get a CMT but pull the carrier key, lap the bottom of it on a whetstone, degrease apply red Loc-tite or Rocksett and reinstall torquing to 55in lbs and stake well.

FN's that I could find were sould out, and Bravo Company is pretty much cleaned out.

Question, why do you have to take the Carrier Key off and wheat stone?

ALso, can I auto BCG be used in a semi auto?

Thanks,
Mark

I just ordered from G&R (BCG-LMTL7A3) LMT Bolt Carrier Group that is MPI tested.

Thanks all,

Mark

Good choice. LMT isn't that much worse than BCM. Don't panic if the bolt isn't marked MP, when it arrives. :p

Mark,

Where did you do your AFF? I'm a AFF/MFF instructor. :D

Oh, and I will probably upgrade to an auto BCG from the manufacturers above. ;)

I know some dudes that used to live and jump out there. Nice place; there and Skydive Suffolk. I'm at Skydive Elsinore, CA and Tac Air Ops in San Diego.

A lot of guys with ARs that jump, too! Despite being a communist state, and asinine gun laws, Kommifornistan is tolerable to live in.

I was in the Army, they wanted me to go Airborne, and I said NFW
So here I am 30 years later, with over 350 jumps.

I have only had one problem jump, bad twist on my primary, riser problem on my reserve.

I love it, and will do my first bridge next summer!

I had a chance to go to Benning as a Navy Midshipman one summer... yes, Reagan was still president. :D Fast forward and now I freely throw myself out of the plane; and I'm a pilot, too!

I'll have to say that I'll never do a BASE jump. Too scary for me. Sounds good on the canopy probs. I've had 5 cutaways in my 9 years. The last two were during tandems.

Drop me a line if you are ever in SoCal. Bring your gear; rig & AR! :D

Not giving you a hard time, but just asking: What do you base this on? I'm curious how folks are able to quantify the idea that an LMT BCG, which has gone through the same protocols and tests that a BCM has, is any different at all. Yes, I too have also heard people SAY that BCM's are the best, or better than LMT's, but have never seen any reasons given as to WHY the BCM is technically superior.

I wonder about this too.. How is BCM is better than LMT. I doubt I could tell the difference between the two. So far LMT has been doing great for me.
