Help with rifle scope

Thanks to your guys' input I am picking up a Remington 700 LTR tomorrow. Had a hard time finding one in stock...

I am leaning towards a luepold 4.5-14 Mark4.

Help me with the details. Illuminated reticle: Necessary or nice to have?
Which Reticle?

I too am a big fan of the TMR reticle, i didnt care for the illuminated reticle either.

I ordered the Leupold Mark4 4.5-14x50 M1 with illuminated TMR reticle. along with Mark 4 rings and base. I am done.
