I recently bought an AR from a friend(he bought it at a gunshow) and I am trying to figure out what upper I have.

Here is everything I can see that would be of importance:

Flattop upper, 16in barrel, bayonet lug and flash suppressor (not sure those last two matter)
keyhole marked upper (no dots)
Properly staked gas key
black extractor insert
non-m4 feedramps
Barrel stamped "5.56 Nato 1-9"
1:9 twist(from the barrel marking, obviously)
The FSB is not marked F, it is marked with a diamond shape and then 1

Any help would be appreciated. I did a search but only the only thing I can figure from the chart is it wasn't bought as a complete upper, just put together from different parts.

The Keyhole means YHM made the upper reciever and they sell those to many customers.

Is cmv on the barrel?

Wrong.

The keyhole is a forge code (Cerro) and does not say who made the upper.

There are no markings on the barrel except for the caliber and twist.

At least not the part you can see, I haven't removed the handguards.

Color me stupid.

That is what I was told by a company when I asked them about my Upper.
