Troy Aimpoint mount?

Guys..

what's the verdict on these?

I recently picked this one up on the cheap..it looks like a solid mount, but I haven't really seen much (if any) feedback on it.

Awhile back, there was a thread "over there" where a guy bought one of the Troy mounts against better judgement. Once he got his mount, (if I remember correctly) he found that he could not open the battery compartment without first removing the Aimpoint from the mount. I will try and find the thread to confirm, but that is the first Troy Aimpoint mount I have seen in a loooong time.

On the bright side, it is GOLD!
