View Full Version : Vepr K AK 47 Variant 7.62x39 PICS!!
I just picked up this Robinson Vepr K and all I can say is WOW! This thing is built like a tank. Its overall fit and finish is excellent. I cant wait to get out and shoot this one. I have heard that they are extremely accurate rifles. I have been a bit nutty buying rifles lately. I picked this up tonight and a Arsenal 107 CR SLR also and that is going to be it for a while.;)
Here are a few PICS!!

Dude.....
I've never seen one man buy so many kickass rifles, in such a short amount of time!!
Is your office hiring and does your wife have a sister, because neither of mine would tolerate purchases at your rate!
You are indeed a lucky, lucky man!
Oh, and damn nice AK too!

They're nice rifles. Since you've been to South Hill in a Vickers class, you'll appreciate this: I used my VEPR-K to hit an MGM C-zone steel target, offhand, from the left shoulder, with a 4 second PAR time from back by the covered bench area.
Not bad for a commie rifle.
Worthwhile upgrades would be:
Ultimak rail
Aimpoint (Micro tends to fit best on the AK)
Blackjack or Krebs enhanced safety lever
Vickers/BFG 2 point sling (the BFG universal sling loop works well looped around the barrel as pictured)
Then you just need to go to one of Mr. Vickers' AK courses.

I really need to get my hands on a Robinson VEPR.
I wanted a KTR-03 since forever. I wish I would have gotten one when I had the chance.
Exceedingly high quality AK there.
Tad on the heavy side, but robust.
I think you'll be happy with it.

Oh and I am James Bond when it comes to "sliding" rifles into the safe unnoticed.:D

Great looking setup JW! Very nice, looks like a perfect setup for shooting. You are one strong man to have trained with Larry with on of these.:D I was thinking a Bi pod.......
I understand that these are very accurate rifles but I am sure it was your sniper like skills that allowed you to make those hits in Va.;)
Thanks for the recommendations. A micro T sounds like the ticket....(it seems like a good route for a lot of rifles these days)
I do plan on taking Larry's courses this year. I am still nailing down my schedule and then planning on 2 or 3 classes this year.

These are very nice rifles. Best of luck in your search for yours.
I can't seem to locate a good AK to save my life. :(

After I bought my VEPR I showed it to a buddy of mine who was a SeaBee in Nam. He picked up the rifle and exclaimed:
"Good God! This thing weighs more than the Cong soldiers did!"
If my VEPR is representative of all of them, then they are EXTREMELY accurate. Lots of guys make noise about how accurate their AK's are on some other sites...but in all honesty the VEPR might just be able to pull off MOA or better with ammo it likes. One day I'm going to have to mount a decent 3x9 to it, get a good rest, and then give it a try to see what it'll do.

Thats what made my by a VZ58 at first. Then slowly I found a couple decent ones and then I found these two gems!!! :D

I just spit Red Bull out of my nose...... THANKS.:D
From what I have heard and read (and seeing some targets to back it up) they are very accurate rifles.
That said I was also very impressed with how accurate my CZ VZ58 is.:)
