All,

Effective immediately, the parent company for the Blackwater family of businesses has changed its name from EP Investments to Xe. Xe will be a one-stop shopping source for world class services in the fields of security, stability, aviation, training and logistics. Through its subsidiaries, Xe will provide the superb level of turnkey solutions that customers like you have come to rely on from EP Investments under the “Blackwater Worldwide” name.

Simultaneously, Blackwater Lodge & Training Center, Inc.—which is the Xe subsidiary best known for overseas operations by “Blackwater”—will now be known as U.S. Training Center, Inc. This company will continue to provide protective services for high-threat environments when needed by the U.S. government, but its primary mission will be operating our training facilities around the world, including the flagship campus in North Carolina.

These two final changes follow a months-long period of company enhancements that have gone into effect with little notice. For instance, many of our business units have already experienced a name change. We have implemented considerable shifts in leadership, to include a new Chief Operating Officer. Gary Jackson, the long-standing president of Blackwater Lodge and Training Center has moved into the role of president for Xe. Jeff Gibson has been named President of Blackwater Lodge and Training Center (now U.S. Training Center, Inc), and Jim Sierawski appointed as vice president. Meanwhile, an independent committee of outside experts brought in last fall continues to help build our company compliance structures into industry-leading models.

From our earliest days as the 25-person “Blackwater Adventure Center” to today’s global presence through the two dozen subsidiaries that make up the Xe family, we have been the training, aviation and logistics provider of choice for a generation of our nation’s best military and law enforcement experts and we remain honored to serve you.

Sincerely,

U.S. training Center Instructors
