Robert, I noticed that the specs say that the dB rating is between 28-40. Does that mean 28 dry and 40 wet? What were the ratings for the Evo-45?

I assume we'll be able to see these at SHOT?

Yes, it is at the Shot Show now.
This is around twice as quiet as an Evo-45 or other circa 2006 designs when dry.

Why the huge spread?
Can you get up a picture or two of this on a 1911 and preferably at a sharp or low angle so that I can see the how the two compare in width...
How much of a SFx200 will this suppressor negate? I suppose it would be best suited for an HK with LAM, eh?

At some point I will post a photo but I don't have the stuff in my location.
The dB spread is from dry to wet.

This can looked and felt great on the Sig220 Combat TB. I won't be the first to buy one, but if the reviews come back from end users as highly rated as they are coming back from guys like Bookhound {Mark}, I will definitely stand in line for one.

What were the ratings for the Evo-45?
-23dB Dry, -37dB Wet

ah... I was so caught up in the "hearing safe when dry" that i forgot about wet.
So it's 5dB quieter dry than the Evo45 and that's enough to put it past safe huh?

I seriously considered a smash and grab job on the AAC booth after they brought that by to tease us! I need to track down a USP-C .45 threaded barrel and I'll be giving Kevin and Freddy a call. The AAC guys kick ass - hands down the friendliest people I met at SHOT this year. The back of my laptop is decked out in AAC and Magpul stickers, so I no longer have to worry about people want to talk to me in public...or even sit near me. :p

I'll wait for another company to come up with their own offset design...

Robert,
Will the Black Box hold water as well as my Evo-9 does?
I intend to purchase one as soon as I recover from the two Prodigy's I just bought. BTW, has the first batch of Prodigy's shipped out? Mine were in that lot.

This might help explain why the dB spread is so big. http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=73366#73366
Robert stated that the dB reduction for the prototype on a USP tactical was between 34 and 35dB.
I bought one after I heard Mark (Bookhound) raving about it after he shot the prototype. He said that it sounded like an Evo-9 dry. I'll for sure post a AAR when it arrives.
