View Full Version : Low-profile Glock 19 & Surefire X300 holster
I'm looking for something that hugs the form of the pistol with light as tightly as possible, and also has a removable back plate. So far the Sidearmor (http://www.sidearmor.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_3&products_id=16) is about the tightest I've found.

Some of the current Blade Tech offerings are pretty cool. Raven Concealment hugs tightly and has adjustable mounting, but the "footprint" of the mounts is quite large compared to the SA or BT.
Is the backplate/paddle/loop mandatory? Otherwise, like Katar noted, Raven is pretty low profile, although it does take up a lot of belt space.
this is for use other than belt.
I need it to follow the profile top and bottom as close as possible, not side to side. pretty much puts the Raven out of the running, although I am very happy with their holster(s) for IWB use.
The Blade-Tech seems like it may have potential. Looks like that bottom seam may be bigger than the Sidearmor.

What application?
What application?
going to mount it to a velcro-backed section of kydex and stick it in the fag bag. That's why I need the screw holes.
I have contacted Raven about a possible custom application, but I bet they're too swamped right now.

Do you think kydex is the best solution in this case?
Do you think kydex is the best solution in this case?
Nope. But I can always use the holster itself on the belt later if it doesn't work out in the fanny pack.
If I understand you correctly, you're going to use the holster inside a murse or fanny pack.
If that's the case, you might find that using a kydex holster will make the bag or pack inconveniently think. Its also possible that the tension retention on the holster may be greater than the velcro you use to attach it to the bag, which would result in you drawing the gun and holster out of the bag at once. I might be off base here a bit, but that's my $0.02US.
I use a nylon loop holster in my bag (similar to the maxpedition holster). Its not perfect, but it doesn't shift, allows a reasonably smooth draw, and doesn't make the bag too bulky.
Now, if Raven came out with a thin low profile solution, I'd be all over it.
The problem I have as of now is that the loop that came with the bag won't accept the gun with the light, and hangs up on the draw with the taller front sight that's on the gun.
