My personal "bag gun", Chambered in 5.56, 8" barrel, Law Tactical Folding stock adaptor, Larue Mini Red dot mount with fast fire 2 and flip peep rear sight, 2x magnifier larue flip to side mount.....glock 34 is just for scale.

Yessir and thanks! I mentioned this in my custom build thread but it is a great shooter, much akin to a 14.5 middy IMO. Only issue is, it short strokes on weak steel (Tula). At some point I'll give the modified A5 buffer a try, I'm confident that'll alleviate the issue.

Why would it be short stroking? From what I understand, you bought the barrel as a 12", right? Which means it SHOULD be adequately gassed for that barrel length even with the weaker stuff. Or was this barrel cut down while leaving the GP unmodified?

No it's a factory 12, but a pretty small port for the length, .066-067". That, coupled with the A5, lead to the short stroking on underpowered crap.

I would suggest trying a standard carbine tube man. Would give you a shorter package anyway...being that it is an SBR and all ;)

Also picked up a Noveske 8" 300BLK recently. Runs like a top so far with about 500 rounds thru it (supers only). Placed an order for an AAC 7.62 mini for it. Now the wait begins.

Yeah definitely a little bit too much of a good thing. It's OK though I can work with it. I'll grab a spare A5 and work with the buffer weights for starters.

Someone far smarter than I measured it, a local gunsmith. I can find out the tool he used for you if you want.

The grip does feel smaller than the Magpul MOE or MIAD Medium, so it takes a little getting used to, but I do like the angle better, and the storage door is great.

Any reason why you're ditching the Streamlight so fast?

FWIW, I've had a streamlight PolyTac on my practice carbine with no issues whatsoever in about 4K rounds...pretty good for a $33 light!

Was this from recoil? Were you incorporating the grip as shown when the injury occurred? I am planning on mounting an x300 forward of my front iron sight (its already purchased and at the house), and want to know if this is a poor option.

Wow that looks really good. Specs? That finish looks like it matches the CTR perfectly.

KAC lower and rail, MUR upper and Noveske 12.5 SS barrel. I run a AAC break and thats the M2000 can. She cycle's flawlessly! I had the coating done by Lawmen's. It is a near match to Magpul's FDE finish.

Thanks, so far so good from just playing with it, I had a tango down bg-16 on it before. It's similar but with a straighter back, it definitely gives you a higher grip.

Started off as an ACR Enhanced (post recall)

BCM 16" Barrel cut to 10.5" Turned to .55" Diameter.
I cut the plastic handguard down to make room for the can and I also direct mounted the light to the upper receiver. (just drilled two holes through it, bolted from the back)

I just assembled the upper this past weekend and was able to run 240rd's of Atlanta Arms 125gr green tip without issue. The SF mag worked great, even during rapid fire. When the can clears I'll give some subs a try.

I didnt even take into account what length rails KAC makes, I could have cross refferenced it to the barrel and got pretty close.

I guess if I had a bet going with a friend on what is the EXACT length or I was trying to compare it to "How many of these barrels long is my house or a football field" I would need it to be exact.

But I can get within an inch or so hahaha.

It's an infused stock. They start with a lighter color TI-7, use a stencil, then infuse (dye) it black, leaving only the stencil area the original color

Ok, I will add in. I went with Spikes .22 upper. I know I spent a lot more money on it then I should. But I like it. I know I am going to get "why did you do that" or " What was you thinking?" But oh well. Like it or hate it.... lol

When I had my Full Auto Lower I wanted a .22 upper. So once I fund one I could not find a Auto Trip. I sold my Colt Auto and still have the upper and thought I would put it on my SBR Lower.

Now This thing has NFA all over it.

and 9.6" YHM Tube...
Still waiting on a few parts. But 98% done as of right now...

Thanks brother, I changed her up a little it. As much as I like the Gear Sector mount for my TLR, it gets stupid hot out there on the edge and I got tired of burning my hand. Here she is now, not too much different, but my light and front sight got relocated, and my American flag got simplified to a RWB.

Karmapolice and I went to a new indoor range last Sat to do some shooting. Really cool place with a couple leather couches and a plasma TV Lounge-type area while waiting for a lane to open. Anyway, he and I are just chillin' waiting for our lane to come open, and I'm showing him the new hotness and all....one of the staff walks by and is like, "OMFG is that a MK18????" We were like, "Yup, wait, which one? Nevermind, both. Yes."

We got some looks and a wide berth the whole time we were there. Dude's still probably going on to his buddies about the "Navy Seals that came in to shoot the other day.":rolleyes:

Best part was when we were paying our tab and he starts in about how Chris Costa has ruined the gun industry with his "new stance tactics." The he proceeded to brag that he has "been to more training classes than most people have days of school." ..... time to go.

Oh well, still a nice facility.

Finally got my Mini-4. Still playing around with this config, but the only thing I can see changing is maybe the light. Haven't had a chance to try out the mini yet.

Don't have high expectations. The Mini-4 is a nice can, but it isn't hearing safe on a 10.5" It will DEFINITELY cut the bark at the muzzle, but they're still pretty loud, and they heat up pretty quickly. It's a nice can, especially if you're trying to keep the overall package small. It would be a great can for an HD gun. Just don't expect the same performance a fullsize M4-2000 will give you.

krichbaum...WOW!!! Easily one of the finest SBRs I've seen. So much win going on with that build. That mini 4 looks nasty as well on that shorty MRP.

I never tire of seeing world class MRP builds....and yours just reaffirms that point:)

I love my GS offset mount. The only issue I had with it was the fact that where I had it (on my left rail) it would burn the SHIT out of my hand when my barrel started to get hot. I ditched it and mounted my TLR1s at 12 and won't look back. They're fantastic mounts, I just wish they had some form of rubber cover or something that came/could be put on them to shield heat.
