I'm looking to start taking some carbine classes and want to put together a MOLLE system. I looked around at some belt rigs and thought that it could be an option... But then I started looking into a "tactical" vest option and started narrowing it down from there. I'm not looking to carry any plates or armor so that also made my search narrower... Seems not to many quality vest systems out there in this category... So I started looking into chest rigs, eh, I'll go back to the vest option.
So during my research I found the Camelbak Delta 5 (http://www.camelbak.com/government-military/hydration-packs/delta-5-tactical-vest.aspx), BlackHawk STRIKE (http://www.blackhawk.com/product/STRIKE-Elite-Vest,753,87.htm), and TAG MOLLE Operators Vest (http://www.tacticalassaultgearstore.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=175)... All of which are in my price point and are not for plate/armor carrying.
I wanted to see what everyone's thoughts on these three vest and hopefully someone can suggest something also.
I plan on buying various pouches from pistol to ar-15 mag pouches to attach to the vest. Single configuration for each to allow me to switch things up as I find what works best for me.
Just in case (for FYI sake)...
I've already ordered my kydex necessities to go on my web belt from blade-tech. Which are two single ar-15 pouches w/ tek-lok, two single pistol pouches, and one holster w/ tactical light for my Sig P226 w/ X200.
Any input would be nice and appreciated.
