Here’s a NRM Series 80 Colt I recently finished up... figured it might be nice to post some pics.

Not the most elaborate of builds and certainly not the most basic the customer knew what he wanted on the gun and was nice enough to let me do the rest. This one got a weld-up frame and slide fit, Kart barrel, S&A grip safety, flattened and serrated slide top in curved arrow pattern, serrated rear of slide, Wilson ambi, borders, serrations front and rear with a high-cut front strap, and all the rest of the usual niceties like our Professional Grade sights with a gold line insert up front.

This gun also got a two-tone finish of polished blue over a nice coat of matte chrome and the over all build is, in my opinion, a versatile style as the features and parts allow the gun to fit into a wide variety of roles. ;) Two-tone guns have really grown on me lately. I think they are quickly becoming my favorites to build and I’ve got a couple full-house two-tones guns getting finished up over the next couple of weeks.

I did my best “photographer” impression with the pictures but you’ll still have to excuse the excess lint and fuzz. Enjoy the pictures... :)

Very nice work, Jason! I had planned on stealing Ryan's stainless Series 70 that you built, but the bastard cancelled on me! It was good to meet you all at SHOT this year. Hopefully I'll submit an order to you eventually...

What? You wanted me to bring you flowers in the hospital? My only reason for coming was to shoot your YoBo guns, and I think the hospital frowns upon that inside.:o

Beautiful gun and your picture taking isn't too shabby either. I like that new Alessi holster and have been thinking about ordering one. How about sending it to your buddy in Georgia and let me test drive it for a few days. :D

I dont know why, but Ive always had a soft spot for the two tone guns, even though I havent owned one in over a decade.

Beautiful example.

A conservatively spec'ed Colt 1911, reworked under some of the most capable hands in the nation? Bravo!!

Nice job Jason. You certainly did outstanding work turning my Series 70 Gov repro to a 1* Elite.

Lemme' see if I've got any extras coming down the pike... either way I think this is a rig you would like. It's quite fast without giving up any security all while of course being very stable on the belt. It has just the right amount of muzzle rear rake for someone of my height and I think the rig is quickly replacing the CQC as my favorite OWB holster. ;)

You won't by any chance be at the Single Stack this month will ya'?

I prefer a little rake and that holster looks like it's just about right.

No I won't be at the SSC. Just shooting a nearby South Carolina IDPA State match. If you're heading there, best of luck to you. Are you guys building a prize gun this year?

Not that I expected anything less from you or the Y-B shop!
