View Full Version : Black Colt Commander...pics!
Amazing piece of work. Not much left 'un-done'. I love the front end work; the plug and slide work is very unique and done quite nicely.
Looks like the ultimate in 'hide-away' slabs.
It gives me ideas for a 9mm Commander project.
Well done, Chuck!
that is just drop dead sexy!!!!!! If I weren't deploying, I'd throw my money to you for one! hahaha Idk why, but i love the back of the grip, how it slopes off into the magwell. BEAUTIFUL WORK! :D
Amazing work as always Chuck. Absolutely love your attention to detail. Looks like a perfect carry piece.
WOW, that is one beautiful looking Colt Commander!!!
Whoa Chuck, that is some serious cool looking work. Thanks for showing it.
That "bobnose" is slick
Wow. That is a thing of beauty.
Man, that's about perfect.
Man, I need a smoke after that session...
Very nice! Great piece of work!
Love those Bobtails!
What is the finish on these guns?
Very nice work, Chuck.
I also see you like Quark flashlights...:D
as much as i dont like bob'd frames, that gun is absolutely awesome!!
That Commander is a beauty!
I didn't look at the thread author when I clicked on the title. I was pleasantly surprised.
That is utterly spectacular.
WOW!!! Forget gunsmith, you are an artisan!!! That is one great looking firearm!!
Impeccable as always!
Nice integration of many details- golfball on the slide stop, recoil plug and mag catch. You have a great sense of continuity- everything looks related, as if it was all meant to work together, the whole is definitely greater than the sum of the parts/modifications. Your Cerakote looks excellent, very smooth and uniform.
Great looking leather and photos, too.
Care to elaborate on the front sight?
loads of talent in that piece of iron.
That thing is breathtaking. Outrageous. Love your work
Ha man that thing looks so good I wanna take a bite out of it
Silly ?, what grips are those?
Silly ?, what grips are those?
They are SIMONICH GUNNER GRIPS.
I sent them to Chuck along with a NIB Pre 80 Series Colt Combat Commander...
I can't wait to shoot it!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! A true work of art!
That is a work of art, you are a very talented man, should be one very very happy end user.
That is one beautiful CC! I love the smoothness of its curves. What is the finish? Did this lighten the weight of it? I'll bet it cost a few $$$, but it is one of a kind. So, does this get carried or placed under glass? Great job!:)
Dead sexy. I need to pick me up a 1911 yet at some point...
I have seen a lot of custom 1911's in my 40 years of shooting but this has to be the all-time greatest.
that thing is smooth. very nice.
This is very unique and nicely done all around. I especially like the golf ball grip all around the mag well, it looks like a tornado can't rip it out of my hand ;).
What a melt job too. WOW
Holy mother of God, that pistol looks outstanding! I love it, right down to the grips. Damn you! Now I have to do a Commander....
1911's aren't my cup of tea, but I have to say what a piece of art work. I really like the prominent sights, which I believe after reliability is a hall mark of a great fighting gun.
Keep up the good work.
WOW.....just wow. that is amazing man.....i'm just floored.
