View Full Version : 14.5" BFH Middy -- "VERY worth the wait!"
I'm surprised no one else chomped onto this bait when Robb threw it out there:
I have... a pre-production 14.5" hammer forged (BFH) BCM midlength (I'll report more on this one later, it's VERY worth the wait!)
So how long of a wait are we talking here?
I've heard rumor that this thing is, "The Cat's Ass" :D
Any information that Bravo wants to share while we wait for Robb's report?
Yes , I,m very interested also - :)
Does this barrel have the lightweight (.625") barrel profile?
Not the BFH, but here is the 14.5" middy. Doesn't have the lightweight profile.

Bravo Company USA posted this on TOS.....
"The regular configuration (w/o tactical handguards) should be going online this week !
We will offer some limited FH options on the middy 14.5"
A2 NFA (so the shooter can have a NFA version, or get it set up with the FH of their choice)
A2X Perm (so it will be a 16.1"+ barrel, but retain a standard look)
PWS FSC Perm (so it will be one heck of a flat and smooth shooting set up. Woooo mama!)"
When asked about the BFH barrel...
"At this time, we are planning to offer it late summer."

It's still worth the wait! ;)
Mine is shooting damn soft with XM193 and M855. It's the standard Gov't profile. I'm using a KAC Triple Tap compensator on mine. Thus far I've only used it with a H buffer but I'll be trying a CAR buffer tomorrow. I'm using this gun at a 3 gun match a USTC (aka Blackwater) on Sunday. So I need to sight it in tomorrow using my 1" Leupold VX II 1-4x which I have in a Bobro mount. I'll very likely shoot this BCM carbine at the big Quantico (Combat Marksmanship Team) Match on May 1st.

I got tired of waiting so I bought a Centurion Arms CHF LW middy barrel.
As far as I know BCM said next year on any LW CHF barrels. Centurion has them in stock, and are top quality barrels on part with Noveske and BCM.
