I'm about to purchase an EOTech and am trying to decide whether to go with an NV compatible unit.

I currently use an AN/PVS-7 type NV device. Due to their center located tube, would I be able to obtain a sight picture while maintaining a good cheek weld or do you really need to use a mono NV device?

Due to the wide field of view/zero parallax of these scopes it seems as if this set-up might be workable, but I'd like to hear about other's experiences.

Mono, mounted behind the Optic on the top rail. UNLESS, you have a PVS-22 which can go in front of the optic.

I have a mono and its great to mount it behind my eotch, looks very cool...

One day I thought...why even mount it on the gun, why not just wear on my head or helmet mount and look through the eotech...and it worked perfect...I think in a real world SHTF situation I would go this way. You get the best of both worlds because you can look around like normal, or look through the eotech if you needed to fire, as opposed to if the NV is mounted you have to look through the gun and ove the whole gun around to see...

anyway, if you had binaculars, i wonder if this would work as well? (i mean not mounting, just looking through the eotech on the gun, while they are mounted on your head.

I have a pvs-14 to mount on my M4 I want to buy an eotech but was wondering if you can mount the pvs-14 infront of the eotech. I just didnt want to mount my eotech that far forward.

you mount the PVS-14 behind the EOTech, it is tough to mount the PVS 14 in front and get proper eye relief to the 14.

It is kind of difficult, with a 7Bravo, you are better off using an IR laser.

I had seen a set up where the shooter use a lot of gas mask and issued a 7Bravo, he set up a 552 on top of his detachable carrying handle, since all his shots are CQB types, he zeroed his CQB-R at 100m and know his hold over very well. and it seen to work well for him...
