Why does Eotech say no Loctite on the crossbolt screw?
Because too many people don't know, or can't tell the difference between red, blue and green Loctite. High, medium and low strength. Loctite for large, medium and small fasteners. 271, 242, 290, etc. Too many people use the wrong product, some thinking that stronger is better. Most not knowing any better.

Too many people apply too much, thinking more is better.

The result is that the cross bolt is literally glued in place. The amount of force necessary to break the loctite is more than a person can exert. So they resort to any tool handy and wind up mangling the fastener or mount to the point it's unusable.

They could include Loctite with the optic...

loctite eats plastic...so if there is plastic on it..say goodbye
