Hi.
I've had one of their 18" uppers for about 2 months now. I had to send the first one back due to too tight of a chamber; nothing would cycle. They rebarrelled it and now it runs just fine. New problem: Now it appears that the bolt is wearing away at the bottom of the buffer tube where it threads in to the lower reciever. I noticed small shavings the last time I fired it and opened it up to clean. I know that with the standard AR gas system, the bolt and carrier are forced open in-line with the axis of the buffer tube, and that POF's system does apply downward pressure on the carrier due to the op-rod, but it's a bit un-nerving. I don't want the carrier to wear through suddenly and break the tube. That would be bad.
Has anyone else had this problem? I have emailed them, but I know they're busy. I have nothing but sympathy for Chris, their customer service guy.
thanks,
norm
