I hate to get off topic, but im noticing these (stubborn mule ?) rails looks strikingly similar to the NSR. Especially the one shown on their site, just these are MLOK? It wasn't even that heavy with seven lights; about an extra pound on the front end. Weighs less than my saker. Gotta love how the KMR allows this setup to fit. :)

Does the kydex make it legal? I know CA and other places have silly rules, and I hope it that easy for you guys to get around them.

I think you can have a "featureless" build with no muzzle device, no pistol grip, and a fixed stock and be allowed to use a standard mag release (no bullet button). I had a friend from California who came to Utah for a rifle class who explained some of the rules a year or two ago. I don't know how they have changed since.

It SEEMS to be made well. Its the latest Generation I believe as it has the 90deg safety rotation vs' the 180deg that everyone was complaining about. It looks much better than the crap pictures give it credit for. Im really (looking) forward to shooting it. And I will give an honest opinion of it and most likely have video too. Hopefully it will turn out better than the pics!

Question: Should the Castle nut be staked like its big brother or since there is no buffer/tube/return spring action going on, its ok?

It just looks... tough. I like magpul magazines and stuff but look at that GI Mag. It's perfect. Looks used. Looks experienced. Looks tough. Looks good.

IMO, really sets the rest of the rifle off.

I am loving the BCM Gunfighter Stock. Sold my Eotech because my eyes started to make the reticle double. No problems with the Aimpoint Pro that replaced it and I increased my battery life something like 30x.

That is a very unique setup. Is there a reason the light is hanging out so far ahead of the muzzle?? Seems like it lengthens the overall profile of the gun, and exposes the light to shock/blast. What's the upside?

Dropped it, works fine. Arisaka Defense mount is good to go.

Not only that, defeats the advantage of having the shorter barrel. May as well have the barrel a few inches longer and have increased performance and less parts wear.

100% agree. I run my light offset to get around my fixed FSB.

Yeah, I would say other than just personal preference, a FSB would be the only reason to not run it at 12. Unless you needed that space for say a PEQ or similar device. Sorry for having a discussion in a pic thread mr moderator.

Nice, the EMod stock weights quite a bit as well I got rid of mine in exchange for the BCM mod0 stock.

Just got done snapping this together. I put 35 rounds through it this evening getting on paper. I used Federal American Eagle 55 grain (from the '80s). This has been pretty accurate ammo, I got a 10 shot group of about 1.5" at roughly 100 yards (I stepped it off). I have some 69gr Winchester Match, IMI 77gr Razor Core and some Outback 55gr SMK to try out now that I have it somewhat zeroed...

Specs:

-Larue Stealth upper, 20" Lothar Walther bbl, 13.2" rail, Larue BCG
-Harris 9-12" bipod on Larue integral mount
-Secret Service surplus Leupold Mk4 10X in a Larue SPR mount

-Armalite lower, I built with a Colt LPK, Larue MBT trigger, Magpul aluminum trigger guard, VLTOR A5 kit, MOE grip I had around..

This is what I did and this is what it cost me. The scope was extra for $200 and about $69 for the rings (can get less expensive to keep under $1500).

Scope is a Bushnell AR/223 Tactical with 4.5-18x40mm. Rings are Warne QD Ultra High Aluminum.

I've been sitting on this 16" upper since I registered my only lower on a Form 1 last year and put an 11.5" upper on it. I finally picked up a new BCM lower with Magpul stock from Gun Gallery in Jax this afternoon. Sooner or later it will get an RDS of some sort.

Had some arts and crafts projects with the kids this morning while my wife slept in. Each of them installed their new trigger (traded into from a buddy) on their own respective guns. My son got a CMMG 2 Stage in his CMMG/BCM with Leupy build, and my daughter got a Geissele SDC in her Spikes Calico/KAC build. The ACOG is my wife's till we can get my daughter her own. I must love these guys or something.

I tried out some Australian Defense Industries 55gr Sierra Blitz King load in my EAG this evening. Not too shabby.

I was in a wet low spot with the bipod out to 12" to clear the grass. Very uncomfortable. I was next to (downwind) of an aircraft hangar, direct left crosswind @ ~10g12kts starting at about 50yds. I did not correct for wind, came down 12 clicks from a 200yd zero with M193. 10 shot group at 100M.

Anytime, they are nice, I'm working on an SBR and I might throw one on it, but I really haven't found a great replacement for my B5 Sopmod. The LWRC's has more of a diamond base in the shoulder and takes some time getting used to.

Names Moxy. Live in Florida, first post here on M4C. I am a college student, Like guns and video games. Also Jeeps, hot chicks and ranch dressing on pizza. First gun was a 10/22, and progressed from there. Max shooting distance for me (typically) is 50-100 yrds. Any shot groups I show will be at 100.
