Not him, but I'm sure he does for the sake of the tape switch mount.
Some guys run them that way to save space on a shorter rifle to be able to run lasers and lights

The panel? Yea but it would push it back about an inch If the sight was put on the other direction.
I'm not saying that's my ideal way to run that type of switch. I like it on the 11 o'clock

As others have said, it makes it easier to deploy with my tape switch on the Scar panel being right behind it.

I'm 6'3" and have a long reach. I tend to run everything as far out on the rail as I can on an SBR since I have such long arms. The tape switch sits right where my thumb naturally comes to rest with my normal grip.

I tried running the tape switch at the 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00 but it works best right where it is.

With the Scar panel being raised a bit off the rail it makes getting to the front sight a bit difficult and requires fine motor skills when it is mounted properly. With the way I have it I can get to it using just gross motor skills under stress.

"Cross Machine Tool complete UHP15PDW integrated lower system, with Centurion Arms upper receiver group wearing a Daniel Defense RIS II rail. Magpul Industries Corp. is in play, the grip is from Silynx Communications Inc., and the Eotech is the 553.

A couple people have commented the Cross Machine & Tool lower/ stock is expensive, with a full MSRP of $659. That isn’t cheap, but when was the last time you saw cheap gutter trash leftovers on this page?

The CMT UHP15PDW will no doubt have a lower street price, but let us take a look at what we get here. First, we are getting a complete ambi lower. Next we are getting a stock built into the receiver, which is giving us the most solid and low profile option available. In addition to that, we are getting an actual system, meaning it is designed to work together with our existing uppers. The design change here is to the buffer, and CMT has implemented a shortened buffer that has been tested to work with a variety of ammo. Similar systems have run $300-400 just for the stock, and they have still needed to be tweaked to run properly.

Cheap? No. Quality? Yes. CDI factor? The only reason I give this a 9 instead of a 10 is because everyone is able to buy one and it isn’t a limited piece."

Hey thanks Jeff. My stock is the MVB ARC from MVB Industries. And my upper and lower is the lightweight billet from Battle Arms Development.

I looked up that stock. Looks like the way the buffer goes up into the BCG there would be no more breaking it open with the rear pin to pull the carrier out. It does look extremely compact. Does it require a light weight carrier? All mine are M16 carriers.

If you're replying to my picture, there's a button to lock the buffer and spring in the stock. You can then field strip as normal. Your carriers will work with it.

Which BCM vertical grip did you use, and how did you attach it to the Troy irail?

I took the vertical grip and threw it on the rail where i wanted it. I then tape the area thre the inside metal part in a vice and put the handguard over it and spowly tightened it until it didnt fall off. I then used a chicago screw on the inside of the rail with a rubber gromet and installed the vertical grip over the peice clamped onto the rail and used a longer bolt to make it clamp. I did have one issue of a little sode by side play, but it was a fitment issue between the plastic and metal piece of the vertical grip. I resolved this by using some eletrical tape wrapped around the metal piece where they meet. If it wasnt such a pos to get back together I would takenit apart and show yah lol

I refuse to give them up. The sides are blown out. The eyelets are popping out. The 550 cord lashing is fraying. But they are, beyond a doubt, the best boots I've ever owned. I actually have a brand new backup pair, but these old kicks are still hanging in there...barely.

The weapon is a cheap, PSA truck gun. Definitely a beater.

That right there, is a thing of beauty.
I've never been a fan of the blocky profile of the HK semi 417/MR762 .308 guns, but that Keymod rail looks like a nice change.
From what I've read about that OSS suppressor, it sounds like a very innovative concept. Very cool.

Now only if HK could make a lower for this thing that would take PMags rather than their ridiculously expensive Deutsch unicorn pixie dust mags.

Thank you. That paint job was for SHOT SHOW. The red was only done on that one rifle for dramatic "300" Spartan movie effect by the artist. All production/custom builds now come standard "bronze" finish without the blood splatter.

I really like the new lock up of the SLR rails. I built a few guns last month with the new rails and they lock up pretty solid. I prefer slick rails but SLR has a huge selection of size and rail options.

Nothing but BCM..... including the 8.5in PDW in 300 AAC

BCM complete guns. PDW has Troy PDW stock kit and Rainier Arms 8.5in 300 AAC barrel.

Got 3 other AR's not pictured but these are the BCM's. The Dark Bronze at the bottom(top of picture) just went thru a D5 Carbine Class with Haley Strategic in that exact configuration, M4-2000 and all. Travis and Nate shot the shit out of it for awhile when I was taking photos or running around as I was the Host for the class. The Dark Bronze has BCM's new Mid-weight ELW-M barrel and its freaking accurate as hell and the gun is still light.

In all seriousness, the interface is completely different. The shape of the slots consists of two holes joined by a slightly smaller slot, and the nut on an HK accessory is chamfered to match the same on the inside of the handguard. The spacing between slots is also wider. You really need to see one in person to understand how different it is from keymod.

This is my lightweight custom build. It's comprised of a mag tactical lower, mag lightweight viper aluminum muzzle brake, 2a balios lite upper, lightweight 2a gas block, v7 upper and lower parts, mbus pro lr rear sight, bcm kmr10 handguard, JP ultra lmos aluminum bolt carrier group, and a daniel defense 16 inch lightweight mid length barrel. Also a geissele ssa-e trigger :) final weight without the eotech or sling is 4.7 lbs.

I am heading to my fends place with a proper bench vice and shooting range on the 24th. Trust me, the days are crawling by, but it has allowed me to gather Parra for my new handrail, other odds and ends, and whatnot so I can work on all of my rifles at the same time instead of having to do multiple trips. The 20" is my planned backpacking rifle, the SBR is well... everything else.

Still have 2 guns in the works.....I have a Stag Arms and RRA lower that are both back at the factory due to the pistol grip screw hole being out of spec (to the rear).

While not Dinger or Marc,

The Redi-Mags I use are the newer ones RM II BCE -- they are simple to install and have a seperated paddle to release the mag (which was my biggest hate with the original) and the Bolt Catch Extension allows for more "normal" weapon drills.

First Form 1 recently approved . . . so first SBR build (started life as a pistol). Pretty plain Jane, but still getting my feet wet on the platform and it's been a good learning experience to put together. Have a Silencerco Omega processing that will go on it.

I really like the Troy carbon fiber rail, that is something I'd like to get some day.

I have a few different rails. Was going to use the kmr for this build but I saw this and now I love this rail. It is up there with my Wilson Trim rail

Yes Troy carbon fiber.. So far, love it. No issues. I'm a carbon fiber nut so love the look as well as the weight (6.8)or the 13inch I believe.
