Even if it was I don't think we could afford it if we went in together.

Besides, Stick already knows if he's ever going to part with it he's to PM me privately first and whore it out for a fraction of market value. At least I think that's what he knows.

I think I need to try a BCM stock...
It's a fantastic stock. Strong, light, has my idea of a perfect cheek weld, and minimal play. The VBOST is a nice addition, as well, I didn't realize how much I'd use it.

It's my idea of the perfect general-purpose carbine stock. Of course, it's all preference, but it brings a lot to the table.

Even my lowly M&P Sport got one.

I can't grow a beard, so I guess I wouldn't have that problem. That tube probably gets cold though. Might get your tongue stuck to it in the winter

Thanks I didn't want anything to match. It's truly a Frankengun.
It's a Mega lower, Noveske upper, Centurion CMR 12", Rainier Arms Ultramatch 13.7" barrel, Vltor A5 system , B5 stock and grip, BCM bcg, Raptor CH, GI trigger with JP springs, topped with a Primary Arms 1-6x in an ADM mount.
The can is a form 1 of my own design.

The lower one is a Noveske upper and lower, Rainier Arms 16" Rock Creek barrel with rifle length gas, Velocity trigger, Vortex 2.5-10, and the ever popular eBay keymod rail.

Front: 6.5 Grendel with 15.5" barrel, Surefire reflex suppressor mount/brake, SLR Rifleworks KeyMod handguard. I'm shooting Berger 130gr Tac Hybrid handloads out of this rifle.

Back: BCM 5.56 upper with 14.5" barrel, KMR9, Surefire reflex suppressor mount/flash hider, ADM UIC full ambi lower, and no fewer than three sighting systems. :)

Both rifles have Raptor ambi charging handles, both have BAD-ASS selectors, and both are very well behaved with my Surefire can attached.

How's that 15.5" barrel working for you? Any long range action with it? I've been toying with the idea of building one myself but really don't want a 20" or 24" barrel.

The shorter barrel works very well. I've only shot out to 600 on our silhouette range, but the Berger 130s are more forgiving of errant wind calls than any of the 5.56 stuff I regularly shoot. When I am dialed in, it is pretty boringly easy to smack a 12" steel plate at 600 with my Grendel. You could go with an 18" barrel, which would net you another 50fps over what I get (I see about 2270fps with my Berger handloads).

My review:
I like it! For 30 bucks its definitely a good quality built light, that it has three modes: bright-350 lumens / dim-40 lumens / strobe. I put it on both my shot gun and rifle, practiced clearing my house, and it works very well. Also has a disconnect switch at the rear of the body, that disables the on off button. The button on the rear also a has a temporary on, which just requires a slight push of the thumb. As soon as u let off the light turns off. I would like to search for a remote switch as well. It comes with two cr123 batteries. Well worth it.

With Fed. 50gr Tipped Varmint.... my BCM 18" SS Scoped will put 5 in the same hole at 100yards.... 10 rounds right around 1 MOA.

You'll like it.

It doesn't like the Horn. Superformance .223 75gr.... but does ok with the 77gr bullets.

I haven't found anything that does like Hornady 75gr bullets period.

Aparrently the superperformance has been improved according to molon, it was crap when I tried it. The AE 50 gr vmax is great for the money. A buddy has the bcm ss 410 18" and has gotten dime sized 5 shot groups with handloads.

This has a centurion barrel and I've gotten down to 1.3" 10 shot groups @100yds with AE 50 gr and 1-4x scope.

Eventually I'll get around to doing a real eval. I love it though so far, pretty accurate for a chrome lined.

Man, I really need to find a decent A2 upper to throw a 20" barrel on.

Stick (my congratulations - Sir - for how you take pictures. Images, truly. You're the only one I truly respect out there and have been following you on flickr for a while as well), A2 is so tempting. Despite having had one in Italy (pictured below) that I had to sell, I had to re-purchase when I moved here.

Can't be without A2; gotta have A2. A2 must have (throwing a few A1s in there as well).

This is a BCM upper, but Rainier CS is top tier. They have fast shipping and the lower fit great. I have used their barrels, and would highly recommend them.
