Its a 4x TA31F on a GDI R-COM E-Model mount. The RM09 RMR is on a RM35 directly attached to the ACOG bosses.

It is a work in progress, those are the only parts so far. I figured out which barrel to throw on it, so from here it should be pretty easy.

This is the other one - out of about 11 - AR15s that is not specifically related to a US Military model (clone).
I really wanted one of the more contemporary looks; plus I love grey (gray). And so I did this one all grey.
There's more. This is the second Colt 6920 Upper that I have had done at Specialized Armament.
If you look, you'll see that it looks 14.5 Military profile and all.
The reason is that SAW cuts the barrel in a special way and adds their own flash hider which is a very specific rework of an A2 flash hider.
The end result is a barrel that is just 16" civilian legal and looks completely like the US Military version.

My new patrol rifle, Hunter Rifle Works, Javlin. I wanted a nice light weight middy and I would say this fits the bill. 4.1 without optic, 4.9 with my Primary Arms T-1 clone. It has been on three rifles and lots and lots of rounds without failure. I just can't bring myself to replace it. I am planning on replacing it with an MRO on this one though.

Well, today I finally hit 3k rounds through the rifle. I bought it roughly a year and a half ago. So far, there's been no malfunctions (wouldn't expect anything less from a Colt:p). I'm hoping to buy a few more bulk boxes and really run it hard, perhaps through a carbine class.

Thanks. It's a KAK micro flash can. The thordsen/CAA cheek rest kit is really nice. Combined with the KAK receiver extension it's a perfect match IMO.

Yes, it is nothing special. All we did was spray a base coat, then spray two wide stripes of different color. Next we sprayed cotton balls in the kitchen, and blotted on accent colors.
The first few times I did it, my buddy and I had different camo patterns laying next to us to look at. However, since you are laying on accent colors kinda random, you end up just making them not be too close to each other.

MOE VFG info below.
I've written it up a few times, but usually just in threads or social media. I need to write it up for RECOIL WEB or something so I can just link to it.
I took a regular MOE VFG, heated it up, and crushed it slightly in a vise. This put the slight bend in it which mates up pretty perfect with the CMR rail. When you heat it and slap it in the vise, make sure you give the edges a push upwards before you start tightening it down. The vise does more to hold the shape than anything else as it cools down. Then you tighten an 8/32 CMR screw through the body of the MOE and you are GTG.

Stock PWS MK116 except switched out the Magpul Moe grip to an Ergo grip. Also added a Magpul flashlight mount for now but will probably switch it out to a BCM Keymod offset mount. Also waiting on my Rainier Arms sights to come in. Going to get a Magpul STR or ACS stock, BAD ambi safety selector, BAD EBC, BAD EMR, and either a Trijicon MRO red dot or a Vortex 1-6 scope.

Looks great man:D My only suggestion would be to move the rear sight back as far as it'll go. That'll give you a longer sight-radius, which makes it easier to aim at longer distances.

Fed the new upper 500 rounds of Wolf yesterday to let it know its my bitch and it will eat what I feed it. Even though the weather is shit today, I had to bring her back out and give her some brass food to let it know I do know how to treat her right. Break em down, build em up !

The rifle is uncomplicated and basic. Just the way I like them. That rifle should last you for years to come. Less is more.

Not to speak for him at all, but from my (very) limited experience; it's probably a bit of both. Good lighting and lens are required for the foundation, and then editing can truly bring out the colors and tune the photo. His work is certainly phenomenal indeed.
