Crappy cell phone pics as I just picked it up. I've wanted an SR-15 since I joined this site seven years ago and learned what a nice rifle really was. I believe without a doubt, that the SR-15 is the best built AR money can buy, and when you factor in everything you get it actually a good value too. I got an excellent deal on it too. The folks at Lawmen's and Shooters were really excellent to deal with. Top quality people. Big shout out and thanks for taking care of a hose dragger.

I bought the complete A4 upper assembly from Windham Weaponry, the stripped lower receiver from Mckay Enterprises, and the A1 wood kit from Ironwood Designs. I had to do the finishing work on the wood, assemble the lower, and install the handguards on the upper assembly. I wanted to keep this as simple as possible.

How do you actually run your weapon light mounted like that, I am having trouble in manipulation of my light with a solid grip. I'm using a tlr1 on a cantilever mount.

I have no trouble reaching it with my support hand index finger. It may help that the KMR's diameter is so small. I'm also running a standard rail section not cantilevered rail so the light isn't so far out. If I had it mounted on the left side I def would use a cantilever mount. Another thing I forgot is that it's a TLR-3 so it's not as long as a TLR-1. This is strictly an inside rifle so I don't feel too bad about running the 3. In the pics it looks a little awkward because I'm holding a camera in my other hand but it works great for me. YMMV

They do not, not at this point. I spoke with Joe the other day and begged him for a 100%, but they are only 01 FFL meaning they sell guns, but they can't manufacture. He said he is speaking with some of the manufacturers they carry and is trying to get some of them to do a special run of them. So fingers crossed they will have some up for sale in the not too distant future.

Bought a stock Aero AC-15 for one of my kids, she is 15. Then I put what she wanted on it.
It was her reward for all A's last semester and winning a Gold Medal at the Rocky Mountain State Games for shooting.
Hopefully she will stop using my DD M4v7. :smile:

Which handstop?
It's the Unity Tactical Direct-Mount VFG. I like it so far, works great for a handstop and is pretty light weight for the size.

Hello everybody, new guy here. I've been reading for awhile but finally decided to join after pulling the trigger and getting my first AR. I've been into guns my whole life but for one reason or another I just never got an AR until now. I got a Radical firearms ftg15. I'm a really big tinkerer whether it's with cars or guns but I can't leave anything alone so I've already fixed it up a little. I like a little color and I went FDE on my AK so I figured I'd go foliage green on this after seeing a few and liking the color combo. I put a MFT bare minimalist buttstock on it, BCM gunfighter pistol grip and short vert grip along with their keymod rail covers. I wanted a simple, fast and lightweight sling so I went with the Proctor sling which I LOVE. I put Magpul mbus pro irons on it and topped it off with a Vortex strike eagle 1-6x in an Aero precision SPR lightweight mount (3.5ozs). I hated the stock GI spec trigger so I dropped in a Geissele G2S two stage trigger and LOVE it! With the optic mounted the charging handle was a little blocked so I replaced it with a BCM mod 4 (medium) charging handle. Also since it's a 16" barrel with a carbine gas system I installed a spikes tactical T2 buffer to slow down the BCG a bit. The gun runs great and I've put a couple mags of PMC xtac 193 through it along with 4 or 5 mags of wolf polyformance so far.
Anyway here's some pictures.
Here it is the day I brought it home from the FFL shop. I ordered 10 pmags with it when I bought it because AIM had a good sale on them. I'm up to 25 pmags now and 5 hexmags. I don't care for the hexmags at all though because I took two to the range the last time I went and they failed to feed the next round twice each. They're garbage mags in my opinion.

I don't believe I ever claimed to build it? After being forced to assemble the lower myself since my FFL wouldn't accept it unless it was stripped (before slapping a $105 transfer fee on me), I added an MOE SL stock, MOE+ grip, MLOK hand stop kit, and coupled 10-round pmags together by the bases so they looked a little nicer.
By the way, huge fan of your work Stickman. Love all your pics, especially those slick ARs on white backgrounds.
