I keep talking about switching out my Noveske Crusader barrel for a CHF DD one, but I hit the 8,000 rd mark with this barrel with this past training session and I'm still shooting sub MOA at 100 yds. I think my Noveske barrel is defective. :D

Colt LE6920 / DD 12.0 Lite Rail / EOTech 557 w 3X Magnifier... I think im ALMOST finished with this rifle. Still need a Troy front/flip BUIS, geissele trigger... havent made up my mind on the stock and pistol grip yet... the hogue grip has to go. I think the Magpul UBR will balance her out nicely.

Nope...it's on a 15,000 acre farm in West Virginia. Shooting at 1,000 yards with a 5.56 and a 4x scope was definitely one of the more challenging things I've ever done.

I'll be back in Texas soon though!

That's cool, now you have a mini back-up. Was wondering what light setup your using and how far could you clearly see at night with it. thinking of going with a setup similar to the one you have so i can put a K9 on the right side of my carbine.Got one on the left and it works well now I want one on the right where my current light is located.

Ditto...but I remember the days when Wilson Combat put out a VERY similar rail(I think by the same designer/engineer/whatever) and people couldn't stop screaming how gay it was. :p

Upon leaving the Garden of Condo, man felt naked, so he decided to protect himself, and begot the DTI upper with an RRA lower.

The DTI, plus cash, begot a BCM mid-length carbine upper.
The BCM/RRA begot a Noveske N4.
The Noveske N4 begot a BCM A2, and a Colt SP1 6520.
The Colt SP1 6520 begot a Colt SP2 6520.
The BCM A2 begot $900 and the Colt SP2 begot $1000.
The $900 begot a PSA Dissipator, a Spikes lower, and an RRA 2-stage FCG.
Man converted the Dissipator into a SPR with a FF handguard and 4-16X50 scope.
The $1000 begot a brand new Colt 6920 with a Rogers stock.

Man looked at what he had created and man was pleased.

Thanks, Jer! In all honesty, it's a toss up between a G36K and my custom DMR...PSG-8.
But they're not M4's so I figure I don't need to post all my other HKs here. But recently I come to love competing and training with the M4 platform.

Thanks a lot, TRIDENT. Funny how those pics get around fast. I just received those this morning. Once I get a chance, I'll test out the rail and Geissele's DMR trigger in rifle matches on an MR556 with lightened profile bbl. And this rail is going to lighten her up even more. Bill is a creative engineering genius. I'll do a full review.

I had tried an EoTech and decided it wasn't for me. I really liked the idea of a magnified optic, and when I found one NIB for less than $600....well forgetaboutit.

I openly admit my gear far exceeds my ability to use it. ;)

It's actually done with a low profile gas block at carbine or midlength and the front sight post is pinned at rifle length.

Man... I've discovered that shooting suppressed gets things hot, cruddy and burns off lube lots faster. That pic was taken Sat. after about 300 rds of practice and they were dirty.

They sure do, if you get the PA Micro/ADM mount you are set up with a good quality mount if you want to upgrade to an Aimpoint.

I have no experience with their maginified scopes but I have their fixed base Micro on my Mega and love it. I have it mounted in the Warne RAMP mount with a Leupy 3-9 as primary. I've only had it for about 450-500 rounds but it's proved itself thus far.

Truth be told, I lost my footing coming down a steep-ish descent. The rifle, and myself, did a faceplant.

Below is a picture of my new BCM LW Middy with a Centurion C4 Mid Cut-Out. I ordered another T1 from Larue today to finish it. I can't believe how light it is compared to my DDM4. Makes me wonder how often the DD will see the light of day. Once I get the T1 it'll get the same Aervoe lovin' as the DDM4.

Very cool setup! Is that light placement working for you or is it cramped?

Thanks! I tried several different locations, but this seems to be the best for me. It's pretty comfortable. With my left hand sort of palm up, hooked on the front grip, my left thumb easily hits the button on the light. I haven't fired it like this yet, but I've been dry firing it in the house, lighting up the "target," and it seems to be OK.

Here's my first black rifle of any kind. It's a generic upper, m&p lower. All Magpul furniture, B.A.D. lever and Moe+ grip. It's a carbine length gas system, All interior components (lpk, bcg) are Daniel Defense, 16" lightweight Daniel Defense barrel. BCM gunfighter charging handle is on it's way, as well as a bfg sling. That's going to be it for now. I chose to go with iron front / magpul rear sight until I get familiar with this kind of rifle system. I'm completely new to rifles altogether. After a few thousand rounds/ training courses I'll choose an optic and decide If any upgrades are necessary.

First time out, ran some 5.56 through it just to check function and make sure it was ejecting property. It was flawless and ejected @ 90° and just slightly forward.

It does really good with heat.

It don't matter about mag dumps or normal drills.

I was concerned with the same thing, it just gets warm, and it cools pretty quick as well

Well I'm stoked. I specifically bought the railed Hand Stop from Impact Weapons Comp. to just give me a little bit of extra space between my hand and the rail because I thought it might get too hot. Depending on how it does, I might switch to the Hand Stop that mounts directly to it. So far, I am digging my Surefire mount from them too.

Thanks for the comments.
First go was just to get a feel for the rifle. Make sure it was functioning properly, load some mags and get used to the feeling of the trigger. Didn't work on zero, but I wanted to see how it did at those distances. It seems to be zeroed in for 25 at the moment. I will zero it in next time I shoot it.

I think I can say this is now complete. Started as a standard M&P15.
I put the Centurion 12.0 FSP rail on there the other night. Install was a cinch. I love the X300 at 12 o'clock. And not pictured is a BlueForce Vickers sling, and a TA-31H, also on an ADM quick release mount.

PSA Dissy Mid-Length gas. Stag lower,CMC trigger, AimPoint PRO In a LaRue,LaRue PoBoy, Mostly Magpul furniture (changing stock soon), MI rear folder, Spikes T2 buffer, Sprinco Blue spring. I have only had a chance to sight it in (been on-call for the last 2 weeks) but it shot good. Will be putting her through her paces next weekend.:)

Ugh. It sucks, but this setup (along with a fixed stock & lack of a flash hider) allows me to use a normal mag release instead of a maglock AKA "bullet button".

I just made the switch, but already it's night/day difference. it's really not that bad to hold the weapon.
