That looks great, I would like to incorparate the bi-pod and 4 mags in the case too!

I'm hopefully planning on building two more so I'll have yet another case to practice on. I wan't to do the same for my Rem 700 VLS
.223 also.

I'm actually going to get rid of a couple of the 5.56NATO carbines to make way for a couple of new 7.62NATO ones...

Thats what I did... I can only shoot so many 5.56 guns, and once I finally get the stamps for my 2 LMT 10.5's, I will have everything that I will ever need in that arena...

I thinned down my AR's and bought a SCAR 17, 18" OBR and a 16"MWS, with those three, I have everything that I want/need in 7.62 NATO.

I am learning a lot about the long range / precision realm of shooting and I am enjoying the hell out of the journey.

Haha I know what you mean. I just used a dremel to merge and enlarge two of the slots on the top handguard. I did have to remove the sling loop from the front sight base and dremel the midlength handguard cap away. An additional (non-functioning) low profile gas block sits at the front with another cap behind it to hold the MOE handguard just like a rifle length gas system would, sort of like a reverse dissipator. I entertained other ways to keep everything together but this seemed to be the most secure. Everything feels as tight as any other handguard I have felt and has't caused any problems in the ~500 rounds it has had through it in this configuration. I appreciate the compliment, thanks!

Nice upgrade with the VTAC rail. I also upgraded to the 13" VTAC TRX and love it. Honestly, it's almost made me lose complete interest in my quad railed AR. Nicely Done!

That's actually an 11" - for some reason it looks really long as does the carbine altogether - but thank you very much.

Im currently stationed in Korea but Ive been buying parts for a while now and having my father build the rifle for me.

This is my first AR.

Roggio Arms lower (all stock internals)
Bravo Company 16" carbine upper
the only accessories currently installed are Magpul 30 mag, MBUS, BCM Gunfighter charging handle, and a basic $50 6.5" quadrail.

I plan to upgrade the stock, grip, trigger gaurd, trigger group, install a low pro gas block and go with a longer rail with an MBUS front, and install a light.

Definatly not as awesome as 99% of the systems on here, but for now I am happy with the fact that I have an AR that is mine.

Actually I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. I think it's a little over 4oz lighter, maybe 5oz. Without an adjustable gas block, it recoils pretty hard with the can attached. I like it a lot anyways.

The 14.5" LW is a pound and a half lighter than the 16". That's with the optics on. I'll weigh them naked tonight.

Nice looking set up! What red dot are you going to run on it? Also how it looked as if you were shooting at an indoor range, if so how was the muzzle blast on that brake? I had a PWS FSC 556 and that thing sure would let you know it was there, indoors must be worse

How can ya not love a BCM? Mine's much more plain with BFH lightweight barrel, MOE handguards and a Daniel Defense A1 style rear sight, but I can appreciate a gadgetized gun! :-)

ThanksI JUST got the can and haven't been able to wring it out yet. Since you asked though I will be sure to give you my impressions. Having ran other people's rifles with similar set ups I noticed it did control the BCG speed better and there was less gas face than there was when shooting similarly configuered A2s. Big difference is those rifles were running the SDN6s on 5.56 rifles, which I would imagine I might see more benefit from the S setting because its an M4-2000. I will let you know.

Sure is. I didn't know/notice.... bought the lower fully assembled as is. Thanks for catching it and letting me know. Bought a tool with the intent of replacing it with a milspec tube and CTR. Kind of curious as to why the couple of guys I've shown it to at a local store didn't notice it themselves.

BACKGROUND: I have trigger time with the M16, M4, AK-47, and AKMS systems in that order. My first personal AR-15 was a Land Warfare Resources Corporation International (LWRCI) gas piston 16” M6-G. I have extensive experience with the M4, long periods of it in a hostile, non-permissive environment. As of this posting, my current “work gun” is fitted with the standard ACOG, PEQ-15, and Surefire XM8 weaponlight combination.

DECISION: I have an affinity for CQB and set out to create my personal ultimate CQB carbine. I am a left-handed shooter with very specific desires. After a lot of research vetted by hard-earned experience, I determined that no preexisting rifle suited my needs and pieced together this superbly lethal weapon system.

IMPRESSIONS: It shoots and runs like a dream! Battlecomp keeps it on target, Troy Alpha rail is lightweight (wear gloves!), the EOTech make target engagement all too easy, and the Magnifier let’s me comfortably reach out and touch targets. The TLR-1s is significantly cheaper than most Surefire weaponlights and boasts 160 lumens. I originally intended to add a Magpul Angled Foregrip to the raily system, but the Troy Alpha rail offers such great grip as it is. The ADF charging handle will not snag on my gear as if I hold it in the relaxed ready, but is designed in a way so that the latch pull is not stressed under hard use. It is worth noting that I will likely remove the Magnifier and save it for ranges/scenarios that involve engagement distances beyond 100 meters.

Yeah, I really should have waited on the upper, but it was in the EE and seemed right up my alley. Still sucks I gotta wait for sights lol.

Honestly I love this rifle. In my humble opinion it is 99% perfect. Just needs a 51T mount.

I like the looks of this rifle. I think it would look even better with a VLTOR I-MOD. That BCM grip looks great with this setup. How do you like the steeper angle of it?

My 5 year old daughter just asked me when I would teach her to shoot. Very sweet and a good sign.

Wife's already good on the pistol range with a Beretta or Sig.

My kids love to shoot. My wife, not so much. My daughter put 200 rounds through her .22 before we even got to the AR yesterday. I'm looking for a .22 for my son now. It's good to start them young learning safety and shooting.

You are right, that is also what it came with. But I need the QD capability for now and the QD mount gives me a reliable RTZ each time. The TA51 mount not so much.

Some of the shooting I do requires a RDS, no magnification allowed. So my Aimpoint M3 in a QD mount is on the rifle for those times.

I think he was talking about the muzzle device. As in an AAC 51T(tooth) flash hider/suppressor mount.

Sorry, I misunderstood. The 51T would be great but it is just a little too short and would make this an SBR - SBRs are currently not allowed in Iowa. They are working on getting that changed but I believe it has been tabled for this legislative session.

Yup, EBSA. I joined about a month or two ago. Not a big range but nice and great to shoot at. Hopefully I'll get out there a lot and make use of my membership.
