Why don't you like the sight? It seems to be the direction everyone is going. I just purchased an Aimpoint micro from Larue tactical today with there 660 tall mount, I can't wait to get it. Was using an Aimpoint Pro.

It's a primary arms. If it was aimpnt I'd be set. I'm going with a 1-4 though as I plan on doing competitions and hunting with it.

The only items I hadn't purchased before the panic were upper receivers, barrels and handguards. Those were all ordered as soon as I caught wind of the president's rights stealing task force and are currently in transit.

Same boat.
Picked it up yesterday at Cabelas because I hate leaving empty handed. They didn't have the jacket I was looking for.
I like that it puts my thumb right there where it needs to be, every time. Like an index. And my wrist feels more comfortable that way. But in my mind, it defeats the slim and light weight idea I was going after by installing the TRX. Meh. I'll probably keep it on there. Its not that heavy.
Nice rifle by the way. I mulled over the MFR and TRX for a LONG time. Decided to go with the TRX just because of cost and ease of installation. The MFR looks to contain heat better though. Wish I could five the Bravo stock in stock somewhere. :(

yea. i really dont use it for anything other than a refernce point. i would use an afg but they've slipped out my hands before and it works best for me to have a slight modified grip. and the redi-mag tends to hender my magwell grip when i use it to. i use my thumb on the surefire pressure pad.

Brand new Daniel Defense M4V1 (DDM4V1).

My other DD is the M4V3. I really like the extended rail on the V1.

I am very impressed by the shape of the new rail on the V1. It seems slimmer, too.

Nice rifle, the new rail is definitely an improvement, I picked up an Omega X FSP used really cheap, once DD releases the new one for individual sale I will replace it, but they wont say if or when that will be. I might get a RIS II FSP till they do, but in the meantime I am saving for a Surefire Can.

Thanks man. I am shocked (more like pleasantly surprised) with how light the V1 is. It honestly feels lighter than my 6920 (which is equipped with the standard Colt hand guards, the detachable carry handle rear sight, an MOE+ grip, padded BFG VCAS, and an LMT SOPMOD - my K.I.S.S. carbine).

I don't think you can go wrong with the RIS II FSP. It's, for lack of a better word, outstanding.

I'm also thinking about getting the ball rolling on a can myself, considering the current climate of uncertainty.

I really like the new rail and bolt up system. When they release them I also will be adding them. I was told they are lighter and lower profile. Looks great !

I received my DDLE LWP yesterday. I was a little disappointed when I got it home and realized that I was shipped a California Legal lower receiver with the Bullet Button mag release (I live in Texas).

Contacted Joe Marler at DD, who put me in contact with Jeff Stinson (at DD). Jeff quickly informed me that I could send the lower back and he would install a regular mag release, or he also offered to send me a regular mag release, so I didn't have to send my lower in. (Bullet Button was pretty easy to remove, once I made a tool out of a flat head screwdriver).

A few hours later, I also realized that the 3 PMAGs included with my DDLE LWP were the 10/30 (10 round capacity but 30 round body). I contacted Jeff Stinson at DD, and he agreed to send me 3 - 30 round PMAGs with the mag release. He also let me keep the 10/30 PMAGs, hopefully I can mod them to 30 rounders.

Even though its frustrating, DD definitely remedied the situation.

I have had the micro for quite a long time, it was just on my wife's BCM 14.5" she wanted to use the EOTech so I switched them, and made her re-zero them both. I still prefer the EOTech to shoot with.

Fires everything else perfect, stays right on target.

Adams arms systems are supposed to use regular carbine springs and buffers. Most likely, the cheap steel loads are underpowered so putting a heavier spring and buffer is counter productive.

The rifle was cycling to quickly before with old non mil spec tube and spring, the person that sold me the lower must have replaced with cheap crap. That's I replaced with heavier, I believe it was the ST-T2 Tungston Buffer 4.3OZ

I had a PA Micro on my Mega MA-Ten and when I shot both my deer and elk didn't use the RD. It was quick instinctive and just used main glass. I routinely run my MK4 at 3.5x. If I need to go to 10x it will be that I have time to do so. I would say ditch the full size RD and go to a smaller main optic.

I was just talking to a friend and he runs his Battlecomp 1.0 logo up.Says it keeps gas away from the optic. But in return its gonna kick up dust when shooting prone.Guess its just a preference.
Im still going to flip it though.Duno if gas in the optic would be as bad as kicking up dust when prone.
Also seems like logo down would create less muzzle rise.

Unless hes running a pistol length upper... He's goofy in the head. And if he is, he should spend more time on research. KX3 would be a better choice if you're absolutly worried that gas is going to some how jet stream rear ward a foot and a half from the muzzle along your hand guard and somehow manage to smudge your optic... Thats silly.

Tell him to flip it back over. Its a Comp primarily. "BATTLE COMP".
Thats what the device is intended to do, among other things.

Reduce muzzle climb = Compensate
Reduce recoil = Brake
Reduce flash = Flash hider

Some of those it does better than others. But if you're using it upside down, it is effectively compensating in the wrong direction. Worrying about gas on you're optics, especially at that barrel length is silly.
Its ok though. We all have that goofball friend that does weird shit with perfectly good parts. Lol. Like magwell grips... :suicide:

The window turns so you can adjust how much of the fiber optic is exposed to the light. He has it rotated so that no light is getting in...

^ This. The illumination is REALLY bright sometimes, so I like to keep it toned down.

My groups at distance (100-250 meters w/T-1 4 MOA) have slightly improved and I feel like I can run the gun marginally faster. Haven't put it on my timer yet and measured splits but it feels faster.

ETA: Hard to explain but the straight bow trigger does give more of a tactile feel of where the trigger is and what it is doing.

Yes, I remember when you had the VTAC. I like it. Always enjoy looking at your photos. Thanks for the compliment, and again thanks for recommending Gear Sector. I have to admit, your 11.5 has inspired me alot, I think it's one of the best looking rifles on here, and that's saying a whole lot.

She may look the same still but it's basically a new rifle functionally. Replaced the BCG (got rid of that crappy old BCM BCG ;)) with a LMT enhanced carrier/standard LMT bolt. Replaced the carbine length 16" DD barrel (now I am finally cool...I shoot a middy) with a BCM 14.5 mid-length and have a BCM Comp that replaced the Battlecomp.

Save your money and go for something else like U.S. Grunt Gear (if you can wait), HSGI, VTAC, or Blue Force Gear.
Condor works for light duty stuff but is definitely not up to hard use. The price is appealing but remember buy once, cry once. My belt has held up fine so far with no rips, tears, or damage yet. I just bought it as an alternative to the chest rig for short range trips, it gets the job done. I no longer use the chest rig at all. The pouches seem pretty good though.

It also completely clashes with my signature line.

It's a IWC mount-n-slot. No rail section needed, it mounts in one of the slots and is available for many different modular rails. In my opinion it is a great piece. Plus it helps cut weight by not having to use the rail section. I've tried to keep this rifle as light as possible hence the Mini Scout and the Micro.

That's exactly what it is. Carbon 15, they call it. Polymer receiver, cheap red dot, no iron sights at all. I will shoot it on Tuesday.

It was $799 from Gander Mountain last week.

It's a 'just in case' rifle since I otherwise only had one. It'll be my beater carbine.

I damn near listed it on Gunbroker, but since I only have the one rifle I decided to keep it. I don't think there will be an AWB but a little insurance never hurts.

I would go ahead and list it on Gunbroker while your able to make money on it. If there's not an assault weapons ban then you'll never turn a profit. You don't want to be stuck with it, or lose your ass when you go to sell it.

I wouldn't mind being 'stuck with it' if it means I am correct and there's no AWB.

Outstanding brother....and your work never fails to wow the shit out of me! I know I beat the dead horse on this point, but your talent transcends photography, and enters squarely into the realm of fine art.

Nobody executes the type of creativity you pull off sir, and when your ready to put those on some high dollar print paper....I'll be the first paying customer:)

I'm about 4 months in on my wait for my SDN6...can't wait for it.

I like the dimpled barrels alot. Wouldn't make too much sense for mine since its a 14.5 bbl w/ a 13" rail. Nice rifle.

Nice rifle!
It looks like too much barrel sticking out past the 13.5" NSR rail to be 14.5"? Is it a 16" barrel?

Nice, I've always had a soft spot for those dippled barrels.
