I wish. Just an early production gen3 2-pin g19. AR is a centurion upper and BCM lower.

I used aervoe paint (ordered from DSG arms). I used a combo of four colors. earth yellow, marine corps green, earth brown, and highland brown I think. I think a key to having it turn out the way it did was because it had been cerakoted/duracoated with a od green on the upper and lower and a fde color on the buttstock and furniture. I wanted to change it up so I ordered those colors. I hit it with a shot of both the browns mixing them to give a two tone brown. I did a few light shots of the marine corp green on the butt stock and a few other places. The last color I used was the earth yellow. The technique to the spraying the earth yellow is a mix of splotching and streaking. This paint is pretty durable and seems pretty permanent. I was nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs before I started to spray it. Here are the before and after pics.

I only built up the lower and tacked stuff onto a BCM upper - but this is a happy time for me because my BCM middy finally has a permanent home and I bought my first red dot/HWS! I know she's nothing unique, but she's mine and I love her!

I think the only way is to get them from BCM. My brother got a 16" middy/Centurion upper when they were available a few weeks ago, and his rail has BCM on it.

Thanks!

You know, the only reason I have the Battlecomp is because I won it here last year. Otherwise I would still be using the A2. Figure I gotta put it on something.

Only thing I am thinking about changing on that rifle is the stock. I am probably gonna get a B5 Bravo one of these days. That MOE has too much play for my liking.

I'm an A2 guy myself. If you haven't checked out the stocks from Mission First Tactical, I would look into them. They're not nearly as ugly in person as they are in pictures. I had an STR and hated it because it was too wide and clunky. Same thing with the B5. The BUSL is slimmer, locks up tight, seems bullet-proof, has the same amount of storage, and weighs less than an MOE with the .77" pad installed (and just a little bit more with the standard .3" pad). Forget the CAA connection, the new MFT stuff that I've checked out is pretty nice. I've got a matched gray Minimalist stock and Engage pistol grip for my DDM4V1LW on order. The Minimalist is supposed to weigh only 4.5 oz and if it's made like and locks up like the BUSL on my BCM and LMT REs, then it will be the ultimate light weight stock IMO. Sorry, I had a B5 Bravo and it was a nice stock, but just didn't feel right for me.

Did have the bezel just to keep it cleaner on my Glock19. But decided that the big white letters on the side annoyed me too, so I hit them with the tape too. haha

Bought Leatherman Wave in 2005 when I was still an 11B in the Army. Put it through absolute hell. Broke the serrated blade, scissors, file, large flathead, and chipped the head off of the pliers.

Called Leatherman and asked if they would warranty it and replace it with one of their new black Waves. In a week and a half I received a new black one and I was only out of shipping towards them. Awesome customer service and a great product. Like.BCM, LaRue, and Smith I am a customer for life with Leatherman.

I've tried eotechs, aimpoints, ACOGs, accupoints, and iron sights. Not in combat, but not just bench shooting either. Mostly 3 gun and some action rifle matches (USPSA with rifles) and right now I still prefer the accupoint over everything. Then it would be my little ACOG shown here. Then aimpoint, eotech, and last irons.

Oh no problem man. Just for what I use it for, shots from 5-300, sometimes to 500, it allows me to quickly change magnifications for the shot needed. I use the German #4 reticle and with a 200 yard zero, anything out to 250 is dead on (with excaptiong of the close stuff where I have to remember the mechanical offset), and with a little practice I figured out my holds beyond that out to 500. On 1x for the close shots I can use it like a reddot, then switch to a 400 yard target and go to 4x. It is heavier than a reddot, but making accurate shots at distance has more benefits to me than weight as I'm not hiking with it all over the countryside. The added weight also can help balance the weapon and really help manage recoil (I know its 556, what recoil?). I just prefer an actual reticle like the Accupoint or ACOG even vs a reddot or a holographic reddot. Its just something I've messed with and really found what I like and my shooting style works with it.

Look at some of my youtube vids and you'll see what kind of 3 gun matches I shoot, especially the 3MR (3 Mils Right) matches with close shots and far shots.

The Accupoint has some really nice things going for it. You get an illuminated reticle 24/7 without the need for batteries or electronics. That was the single biggest selling point to me compared to the other variable power scopes. Plus the Trijicon reputation and track record. I trust the Accupoint will be as durable as an optic of that type can be. I think the variable power 1-4 or 1-6, with a "true 1x" bottom end, sells itself pretty well. For a general or multi purpose rifle you get performance very similar to a red dot when on 1X, but with the throw of a lever you can dial in 4-6x magnification for more range, target identification, precision, etc.

The biggest downside people report to the Accupoint vs some of the other options is the reticle. There's no BDC option and the triangle reticle, which works best as a red dot substitute (both eyes open, fast, close), has that vertical black line under the triangle that can block a small or distant target from view when holding over at longer ranges. But as mentioned above, for 0-250 and most practical purposes, it's fine. Zero for 50/200 and you should have an effective 'point blank' of 0-250 yards (no more than a couple inches vertical deviation from POA)

And since this is a picture thread, here is my carbine that currently wears the Accupoint (BattleComp/Mossie Midnight FSB mount for X300UA + LaRue index clips are on the way!)

No. Trijicon hasn't done anything with the Accupoint lineup for some time.

I was just referencing the category/class that the Accupoint resides in

No, unfortunately I sure don't have any pics. There is another member on here that can vouch for me. We were doing some shooting the day before a class when it broke.

I noticed through my peripheral vision while shooting, my charging handle was moving.

Upon a closer look the latch was completely gone. Not partially broken. Gone.

*There's a lesson for you kids-keep spares of everything. This was the day before a carbine class*

Whats weird is that the roll pin was still intact. Some how the latch just cleanly broke away from the CH. I looked and looked for that broken latch. I really wanted to see how and where it decided to divorce itself from the handle.

Never did find it.

BCM ,no surprise, sent me a new one after I sent them mine. From me sending Bravo mine to when the new CH was in my mailbox was 1 week. Impressive but I expect nothing else from BCM.

FYI: This was a 1st gen model.

I just wanted to see the crazy...a mile long line and the fire marshal issuing reimbursements for people to leave due to over capacity was an interesting sight.
But, there is a guy there who sells AR/M1C/M1 parts for a good price and didn't boost anything on his table even though the rest of the show was 300%-1500% over their normally high prices for black rifles and thier components.

Appreciate the compliment.
Have only shot minimal rounds through it (for obvious reasons).
For the shot selection I built this gun for, the fixed stock / rifle buffer + midlength gas is great. Super smooth -- I'm very pleased with it.

This started life as a regular Colt6920. I've added:

MI FF FSB rail
Surefire M951 on a Thorntail offset mount with a SR07 switch
Eotech EXPS -2
Magpul BUIS
KAC Handstop
DD QD Swivel endplate
BFG VCAS sling
stippled MOE grip

The only other thing I may do is swap the Rogers Super-Stok for a Magpul STR for the higher QD connection. I'm not a fan of how low the QD connection is on the Rogers.

How did I do?

BCM uppers with LMT lower on one and Milspec parts in an RRA lower on the black rifle.

A true Capitalist doesn't try to pass socialistic ideas as Capitalistic terms. People have the choice to buy or not. If people choose not to buy the seller must lower price if they wish to sell. If buyers buy then THEY determine the value to them and set market price. This isn't difficult economics ideas here folks.

I'm more wondering why someone quoted an old post in a picture thread to make their personal agenda known.

BTW, this is a good place to end BOTH conversations since I'm right and this is a picture thread.

Not just an AK, but one hitting 6 feet high and 3 feet left that you've not even seen until it's dark and time to go. That's the last time I take someone's word that an optic is zeroed.

I'm thinking hard about a 9" 300blk for the next time we go. I could have brought the SCAR H, but I couldn't find any decent ammo plus it's a bit bulkier than the 14.5" I typically hunt with. Also, I think it's getting sold.

Time to start stocking up on 70gr TSX!

I swear to God that if I find out you're wearing a plate carrier to a static indoor range for no reason than just to wear it, you will no longer be allowed to hunt in South Texas!!

I'll throw down on the SOPMOD/RIS II combo.... for now.

Some of the idiots I've seen at public ranges here in Okla make me want to wear a plate carrier for my own safety. Lol. Just because they own a bunch of nice guns AR's does not mean they know how to shoot or are safe doing it. Thank god I have my own land to shoot on and only go to ranges for matches. And luckily matches seem to scare away most fudds because they're afraid of being embarrassed by their lack of skills. A guy looks really dumb with a nice AR and can't shoot the damn thing. Lol.

My MK18 RIS II fun gun. I keep switching between the sopmod and CTR. I just can't decide which I like better.
