New EOTech 552.D1

I just got some of these in and thought folks would like to see the new reticle. I am a .A65 reticle fan, but this simple 1MOA dot could grow on me. A lot more light seems to transfer through and the window seems bigger IMHO. I guess you never notice how much of the window the outer circle covers up until it is gone.

Speaking of EOTechs, you get any of my PMs Grant?

I have always been a big fan of the eotech's circle-of-death, so I don't see one of these in my future. However, I know not everyone likes the original and I am excited that there is another company that obviously makes an effort to listen to the market and respond.

This reticle may also be more attractive for those using a magnifier where the 65 moa circle is not very useful.

oops! Forgive my language as I was not being very clear. I was referring to L3 and the fact that they are now offering the new reticule. I just always think it is a good thing when companies continue to improve their products and develop variations.

The phrase "another company" was just in general and I was not referring to a specific company.

But... kudos to Grant for carrying them as well!

Just received one of the new 552.D1's from Grant and as always the service and speedy delivery are top tier. I for one have both of the 552 models, one on my dept issued Commando and the other on a new rifle built by Grant.

I was a die hard Aimpoint fan because of the sigle dot and now that I have been using the standard 552 and reticle for 2+ years the Eotech has grown on me.

I love the new 1 moa dot. That field of view is huge. If you want a bigger dot for speed shooting or CQB just push up the brightness and the dot looks like a 4-6 moa.

Doggoneit.....just when I thought I had finally made my decision (Eo vs. Aim) and picked a 552, now I've got another decision to make.
