So which one of these 2 brands would you say is more accurate at long ranges? BH has a pretty good rep and is a little cheaper than the Fed stuff. I have been quietly stocking up on 308 match ammo. And a little Fed and more BH.

i dont think 9/10 of us are good enough shooters to be able to tell the difference, try to do some R&D for your specific barrel and see which one shoots that brand, weight etc "the best" and stick with it

Black Hills rifle ammo is hard to beat.

Both are good choices, but you'll probably have to let your rifle decide. Just because my rifle likes a particular load doesn't mean your rifle with the same barrel will have the same results.

The BH brass is better than the Fed. So, if you reload go with the BH. Just my thoughts.

I find that the most accurate factory load in my 700 is BH 175gr.

It's a toss up with 168gr........TAP, BH and Fed Gold Medal all shoot the same.

Has anyone used the Corbon match ammo? Rumor has it it is pretty close to the M118LR specs.

My 700's like both BHA & Fed 175's with the velocity nod going to the Fed loading.
