Hi a friend on mine has a LMT AR for sale he wants 1,300.00 for it. The rifle has a CTR stock, Daniel Defense 9in FF hand guard, and Troy sights. Is the LMT and accessories worth the price?

If its in good condition I would say so.

Sounds like a decent price, IMO.

Sounds like a good deal if in good working order.

it sound like a good deal, but it does depend on the condition and use that the gun has seen.

I believe he only used it in a carbine class about 2K rounds.

Sounds like a decent deal to me.

typical retail not counting tax:

LMT $1000.00
DD FF rail $250
Troy sights $260
CTR stock $95

2K rounds even at a class isn't much.

well that 1,300.00 rifle went to 1,500.00 within 2 hours. He said he just put in a brand new barrel so had to raise price. Question how long does it take to put in a barrel in a AR rifle?

I'd pass on it because he raised his price.

I agree, not a good deal now.

Why would you re-barrel a rifle you are going to sell?

NO he tunring into an ASSHOLE! he keeps changing his story about the rifle, first he said the rifle only has 2K rounds but last night he says it was around 50K rounds thats why he had to put in a new barrel.

Save your money and look around for other great deals. I am not sure if discussing prices paid for items is acceptable but locally I just paid $1899 plus tax for my new LMT CQB length MRP with 16" barrel. Even though I had to pay tax I still saved quite a bit and it was only $399 more than the S&W M&P15T they were selling. IMHO it was money well spent. :)

Ok, that is just under 850 rounds a month for the last five years, fired from one weapon. It could happen and monkeys could fly out my....never mind.
