Very nice rifle sir.

And an even nicer BMW with an awesome rifle mount!

Any chance you have a video of the BMW with the lights going?

Nice to see the water level at Condor has dropped about eight feet but then again, it's supposed to rain for the next few days................

Nice police bike! The procurement officer must clearly have a thing for German goods.

Still a fixed stock?

Our local Germans actually intentionally break it so they can have it repaired, only shorter so it can fit over body armor.

That is The Lame.

Brother, its made by a company called North Eastern Arms, the mag well functioned flawlessly through out the day, 500 plus rounds with and without suppressor, both in semi and full auto.

Supposedly MAGPUL is coming out with a low cost G36 magazine. That is the one I'm waiting on.

Even though I have more than 4k into my G36k semi conversion SBR, I still wish HK would come out with a domestically produced correct carbine.

The stock block conversion creates LOP problems and blocks the ejection port when folded. And I'm just not ready to trust the durability of an epoxy weld correct length conversion.

I had the opportunity to put a few mags through a FA G36K a couple years back.

I know some guys dont agree, but I found it very ergonomic for my big hands, much more so than the standard AR pistol grip.

I dont know how to describe it, but it just shot so damn smooth, even in full auto.

I'm not one to koo over HKs, but I like the G36. Were it available, I'd seriously consider a G36C as a car gun. Some things I don't understand about it:

- The long toe.

- Fixed LOP. Come on guys, really?

- The way the shoulder of the stock transitions from rounded (nice) to square (wtf?)

- The incessant need for a gun that doesn't take AR magazines. WHY must they be so...GERMAN? "You vill do it our vay!"

- Why a rock-in style magazine release on a straight-insertion rifle? My only guess is this is some kind of legacy training thing, as (IIRC) the G36 was meant to replace the G3. The same way we try and make our new rifles handle like M16s, I think HK tried to make the G36 handle like a G3.

It's still a very neat gun though.

Well, Magpul appears to have fixed the magazine issue. Now it there were enough of the G36's in the U.S. to justify it maybe they could adapt a version of the Masada/ACR folding stock for it, like they did making a PSR stock for the G3 series. If the G36 were plentiful a whole Magpulization of the whole platform might be profitable. Alas, I think the numbers are too low for them to make a dime off of the platform. The AK on the other hand.........................................

Just curious, what's the availability of these like? Less common than the SCAR? Any ballpark price estimate?

I can answer these.

Stock folds to the right so an adjustable LOP could end up blocking the ejection port.

Rock in mags, for some reason they only seem to be an issue on SIG and HK rifles. I don't hear too many FAL and AK shooters with the same complaint.

Square stock area, again look at the picture of a stock folded, it is to allow ejection of a spent case with the stock folded.

Still trying to figure out why the long stock toe is bad.

For the civie shooter? They don't exist, you have to make one.

Basically you buy a SLR8 rifle (just under 2k) and a G36 part kit (figure another 2k) and then with gunsmithing and US parts figure on another $1,000 or so.

So for a little more than $5k you can have a rifle that is almost correct.

Prado was dry as a bone two weekends ago for IDPA. Dryer than I've ever seen it actually. Good looking bike and rifle looks like fun. See ya out there.

I really do like the way the G36 shoots. It has a good feel.

While it would be nice for HK to sell the G36 in the USA, I specifically would want the G36C which HK will never ever sell. Booo!

Add a T1 and you have a great pair.
