Weaver Mounts v Picatinny Mounts???

[S&WM&PAR15T]

AR15 in question is a S&WAR15T Are weaver style scope mounts the same as Picatinny mounts? I'm looking for a Quick Detachable High set of Rings that will mount to the rail on the Tactical S&W AR for a 1" tube. Without breaking the bank......

Weaver stuff will typically fit on Picatinny but not Picatinny on Weaver.
