Just recently I had to send my rig back to POF for repairs. I have one of the first generation POFs and apparently there was something wrong with the piston mechanism. I called Frank DeSomma and he told me to send it in and they would diagnose and fix the problem. Frank sent me an email a day after they received my rig from UPS and explained what the issue was and that they were going to upgrade the piston components to the newer generation model. Chris (also from POF) called me 2 days afterwards and told me everything was good to go (repair/upgrade done, test fire done, etc.) and that he would be mailing my rig out that day. When I got home, I checked my email and low and behold there was an email from UPS with the tracking number and a schedule delivery for this Thursday. Today, I received another email from Frank checking to see if I had received my rifle yet.
Point of this story...POF's customer service is stellar! Extremely fast turn around on repairs. I've had to deal with other small arms manufacturers before and none of them compare to POF in regards to customer service.

ETA: After 10,000+ rounds down range, this was the first issue with my rig. POF makes a good product.

Glad it worked out for you. It's nice to hear good CS stories, too!

stickman: Thanks. Any progress on the T&E on the new P 308s?
demigod (markm): Good to see you're still hangin' around. I've missed your "bluntness" on the other forums ;) .
olds442tyguy: Thanks for the comment on the paint job. A guy named Jesse Gorham from Three Wolves Tactical did the art work. Very affordable and quick turn around time.

I think I handled one at SHOT, but I've got zero real world time with one. However, I await the opportunity.
On a side note, I'll probably be sending some pictures your way pretty soon, let me know what sort of resolution you want to play around with.

Update:
Actually received the rifle one day ahead of the scheduled delivery. Had the opportunity to take my rig to the range. Fired various brands of ammo (Wolf, Fed, Adcom, Rem) with various grains using different mags...no hiccups to report. Shot both suppressed/unsuppressed and controlled/rapid succession.
One thing I noticed was the newer gen piston components are a lot different than the first gens.
Kudos to Frank and the crew.
BREAK...
Stickman: High Res will do just fine. Thanks.

Previous pics are of my rig a couple of days after receiving its new skin. The pic below is a couple of months down the road (after a couple of training sessions...its not as prestine as it once was :( ).

Yeah it is, brother. It's been since replaced with my HALO ;) . I'll be up your way in the next couple of weeks. I need to talk to you in regards to the ARES install you did on one of your rigs...I'm in the market for one. Take care.

No, turbo-j not shadow/doc here but I'll share w/ you what I encountered. Had to return both of my POF's that I previuosly owned & had the same probs. that you faced. My SOP w/ POF was to call the office, leave a professional/upbeat VM for Chris & then immediately followup w/ an email in the same manner. I never in my 1 + years of buying both RF's direct from them, returning both @ differnt times, was ever able to speak w/ anyone besides Chris.
Even though very frustrated w/ waiting on returned callls/emails, I stayed focused & professional w/ Chris & eventually had both of my issues resolved.
I don't believe in bashing or slamming another company or person here but suffice to say I no longer own any POF's & am the owner of several LW uppers & waiting to buy one of Paul's CSAT models when available. Email me direct if I can help you in any way.
