They went on at lenth on how unreliable it was and how out dated it was.also that the AK74 was a better weapon, includeing haveing a GI supporting thier claims .they also went on a tear on how the 30 round mag is too small and the 100 round duel drum type is far better . It is very biased. they blamed the fact that small priced weapons don't get the money the tanks, planes, and ships get so the small arms are left out in the cold. they also did a piece on body armor ,and if they are right than the whole system puts our troops at risk for a buck. they showed the Dragon's tooth body armor and said it was better than Point Blank we use . verry interesting a must watch .

Didn't the military explore the "Beta Mag" and decide it wasn't as reliable as the 30rd?

That would be immaterial to a TV show...

Dragons Tooth has also been shown to be over hyped and over priced.

Dragons Tooth has also been shown to be over hyped and over priced.
Dragon Skin has been found to be incredibly unreliable and unserviceable, as well. And the Pinnacle management refuses to comply with several DoD directives, so there ain't no chance in hell that his stuff will ever be accepted.
Which is sad, because with proper R&D, I believe that scale armor can be the wave of the future....
But, like our "friends" at H&K, when your POS (insert military equipment here) gets exposed, like the XM8, as being unreliable under military conditions, you don't fix it; you just bribe some senators and get some hit pieces written by Matthew Cox at "The Army Times" which use inaccuracies, innuendo, and out-right lies to make it look like your company got a "raw deal."
And don't forget, you need to "pretend" to set up a US-based company so that you can point to "all the jobs that will be lost" if the US military doesn't buy your piece of shit.
Sorry, hit a nerve there. Rant off.

They went on at lenth on how unreliable it was and how out dated it was ... they also went on a tear on how the 30 round mag is too small ...It's strange how the lamestream media portrays the M-16 as a POS, unless in the hands of civilians, where the rifle suddenly becomes a relentless and unstoppable weapon of mass destruction even when sitting unloaded in a locked gun safe.
I wonder if they just happened to mention the HK 416 as the gun that should replace the M4?
Odds are they did mention it, because that's where most of this propaganda floating around is coming from, either directly or indirectly.
