Guys,
I just bought a pile of mags for my AR, and I'm looking on suggestions on how to store them. Is there a particular size of rubbermaid or ammo can that yall use to hold them?
Thanks!

Thanks!!! I was having a WTF moment trying to stuff the mags in a regular 50...
For you AK guys, you can fit 24 in a com-bloc ammo crate like so:

I keep mine in a Rubbermaid storage container I bought at Lowells for maybe $6.00
I think it is about 24"X14"X10"
Works great.

Ignore the label but this is the Tuff Crate 12 gal. container that I use to store empty mags and I have another one for mag parts like springs, followers and floor plates.
I could fit around 60, maybe even a little more, of the 30 rd empty mags with individual MIL storage plastic bags vertically in it.
I store my loaded AR mags on surplus 7.62 NATO ammo wood crates, and same as you my AK mags are in the same type 7.62X39mm ammo wood crates.

How heavy is 30 loaded magazines. I'm not sure I could lift it very easily.

I have a couple of NOD cans that work great. I'd post a pic but all my media was stored on the server of TOS.
Anyway look like a tall version of a 50 cal ammo can but have padding glued to the inside. You can stuff up to 20 30rounders in one, or a combo of thirties and 20s.

Fuze Can. This is the 50 TALL can.

it will perfectly lock 24 mags in place, and there is more room on the top for more mags, or ammo, or lula, etc etc.

A pelican 1200 will hold 10 AR mags like it was made for them. Great shit-n-get sort of deal.
