What is the SR-15 E3 ''Enhanced''?

I've heard of an ''Enhanced'' model of the SR-15 E3 IWS system, but (on SilencerTalk) there were never any specs, or information posted as to why they were considered ''enhanced'' (which is funny - considering the standard E3 is an enhanced gun all on its own...).

I've heard it was geared towards full auto fire, but not any specifics.

Can anybody answer?

The "E" in E3 stands for enhanced in reference to the bolt...maybe that is what they are talking about, or perhaps something else altogether?

There is no SR15 Enhanced, it only the SR16. The Enhanced is a mil/LE gun tuned for full auto and supressed fire.

this is correct. they consider the e3 an enhanced rifle. it has many of the same features of the sr-16 such as the bolt and now the ambi enhancements

That's correct referencing the e3, but we're talking about something completely different here. The reference is to a specific gun just seen a couple months ago called the SR16 "enhanced". As of now, there will not be a civilian version.

So, to clarify - we all know about the e3's 'improved' bilt and barrel extension and yes it's enhanced. The SR16 "enhanced" is a new gun with presumably a different gas system that is geared towards full auto and continuous suppressed fire.

The new gun and this thread have nothing to do with the e3 (enhanced bolt and BE).

This is what I've heard, but is there any information as to what they did to optimise it?

I understand that it will not be available to civilians. But if there are any modifications that they made that I didn't, for my suppressor hosts. I'd like to see which ones are do-able and do them.
