Anyone know the history of this headstamp? Was sorting 380 and 9mm today came across a few dozen of these. Boxer primed. Stamp is "AP" over "380 AUTO".

A Google search for "AP headstamp" returns lots of different things pointing to Armscorp of the Philippines. None of the hits I had are 380 but the 556 and 45acp AP were both this.
I have AP .223 and have found it to be Filipino, so I think from Philippenes
I just know that it goes straight into the recycle bucket whenever I find any of it.

Thanks, gentlemen. I figured it might be foreign make. A few of them looked like this little guy here. I don't see die marks so I think this was the first firing results. First I've seen this.

Whoa!
Some of my .223 stuff is on it's 5th reloading. I will stay away from the pistol brass.

Raven, were those load fire out of your gun or someones you know.
Something tell me that casing was fired out of a 9mm chambered barrel.
I have reloaded AP brass in .380 without issues.... a little soft in the primer pocket compared to others but all fired and reloaded multiple times.

Looks like it may be Phillipines or French.

I might have to go with the wrong chamber theory.

Unknown shooter, unknown weapon. This was in a mix of a 5 gallon bucket of range brass marked as "mixed 9mm & 380". The range separates the .40 and .45 from the 9mm. The .380 usually gets mixed with the 9mm and sold as "9mm but there might be some .380 in there too". I don't load the .380 so I just sort it and sell it.

Now that you mention it, that could be it.

I have loaded some .45acp brass with the A P headstamp with zero problems.
