Various add-on rear iron sights can be easily attached to the flat-top Upper Receiver, and Bushmaster’s BMAS Front Flip-up Sight for V Match Rifles (Part # YHM-9360K) can be mounted over the Milled Gas Block. What are the risers for? Isn't a scope high enough using the receiver rail? :confused:

Anytime I've mounted a scope with rings on an ar I've had to use a riser block, they're just throwing some in looks like. I've since replaced all my riser blocks and rings with mounts like the pepr or adm.

Gotcha. I've only used one-piece canted fwd mounts, but the $20 generic one isn't tall enough for the scope's eyepiece to clear a folded Troy rear BUIS. Is it possible to get the proper eye relief with standard rings without fully extending the stock?

Anyhow, very glad to see the price. That bodes well. I assume the rail height issue I read about has been fixed since the $799 a few years ago.
