What's up folks, new owner of a POF 308. Super well built rifle for sure. put my 1rst 300 rounds used American Eagle 7.62x51 OTM and some 175 grain M118LR duplicates with out issues. looking at some German Dag 147 grain M80 rounds @ a super deal $419 for a 1000 rounds. Was wondering if anyone in here had issues in cycle these bad boys with their POF 308s? Also feel free to list what other rounds that you have had success with for POF owners reference.

I used to fire GA Arms "Canned Heat" reloads with no issues in my POF-416.
Had a badly deformed case (probably got banged around in shipping) lock up and FTE once - at an M4C Training weekend no less  , but we got 'er UN-stuck, and proceeded with no other issues. :D

Found a great place out of Oregun been using their 168 grain HPBT and 175 HPBT with super awesome results. they also have 5.56x45 live ammo but check out the grouping on the 168 once I got my scope dialed @ 100 yards

Man my pof has been on a stady diet of junk surplus..,,wolf ,tulammo.i have shoot 8thousand rounds without any issues..but it really likes lake city ball and the federal stuff.. why due people on the forum dislike piston ARs???http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv34/dtapia/2011-12-17131329.jpg
All of my POF rifles eat everything I have put through them. When shooting the 308 for accuracy, it does prefer FGM 168 & M118LR. BTW, that is out of both the 16" and the 20".
For me, I have found the POF 308 to be the most accurate semi-auto 308 I have been able to find.

right on, yeah I guess I'm one of the lucky ones to have a non problematic rig. But I have not tried any of the steel case ammos out there. It is accurate that's for sure.
