In my haste to get to the range to sight in my new MBUS sights, I foolishly installed them without loc-tite.

The nut worked itself loose and fell out at the range.

Does anybody know what size that nut is? I contacted magpul with no repsonse. I went to the hardware store and the gentleman said it was an oddball size and thread that he hadn't seen before.

Thanks in advance.

I just spoke with someone in Tech Support at Magpul and they told me the thread spec was 10-24 but the size of the nut needs to be able to fit into the MBUS pocket. I'm going hunting at Home Depot myself since I just lost the nut to the rear sight. It would be prudent to make the nut captive via epoxy or something when the package gets opened.

The customer service guy didn't offer to send one out? Please tell me one is on the way and you are just impatient (like the rest of us.)

My Gen 1 has a 10-24 and fits a 5/16 socket. I think that is the standard for 10-24.
